Job Description Under direct supervision, responsible for setup and operation of band saws. Set up and operate power saws (reciprocating, band or circular) to cut materials to required length or contour in accordance with specifications. Install saw blades prescribed for some type of material, set stop gauges, saw speeds and indexing mechanisms such as may be provided for automatic positioning of materials. May be required to replace and align band saw. Position and secure materials on bed of machine using clamping arrangements of fixturing devices; check pilot piece for dimension. Contour cutting on band saw may require the scribing of cutting lines on materials from templates or the setting of radius pins for circular cuts. Duties: Reads the Sales Order Acknowledgement to determine setup specifications, product dimensions Starts and controls mechanisms that automatically feeds steel into rollers. Examines, inspects, and measures finished products to verify conformance to specifications. Manipulates controls and observes dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms. Directs and trains mill helper workers to change rolls and operate mill equipment. Essential Job Responsibilities: Assist in the development of formal product training infrastructure for internal and external purposes which addresses inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and operational best practices Assist, supervise, perform testing, and commissioning of equipment to meet internal and customer requirements. Assist and coordinate with Service and Engineering teams to resolve operational service issues. Assist in maintaining good interfaces between local service teams and global engineering teams to ensure 24/7/365 coverage for urgent service on operational issues Assist in service reporting, failure analysis and investigations, coordination with engineering and reporting to customer Service Quality Management representatives Assist in Technical Manual production and standardization, Service Bulletins, Information Bulletins. To keep up to date with relevant technology and with the operation of relevant hardware and software within the Product Line. Must have at least two years' experience or demonstrate equivalent knowledge in hydraulic assembly, troubleshooting, and repair; mechanics; pump and/or valve assembly, disassembly, or repair; electrical control systems operation and diagnosis; and /or oilfield experience in maintenance and repair of NOV CT/N2 or related systems. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, and codes. Ability to work with a diverse group of employees, departments, and customers. This position is to support FET Next Generation Hydraulic Fracturing Product Offerings. The position will be required to provide installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic systems and controls as needed to support Next Generation Product Offerings being constructed at the manufacturing facility and deployed to customers in the field. Job Duties/Responsibilities * Must understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations. * Must be willing to travel. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the safe operation of assigned machines using the necessary skill and knowledge to produce a product to specification through accurate set-up and subsequent operation of all machines in the department. Perform machine setup and operation tasks independently and effectively. Produces product to specified tolerances on a timely basis. Properly process necessary information on Production Routers. Move material to other locations as required. Use safe working practices as directed and train others to do so. Perform assigned tasks under the direction of Team Lead/Supervisor/MFG. Manager. Perform training of others as directed by Supervisor/MFG. Manager. Bring technical problems encountered to the Team Lead/Supervisor/MFG. Manager. Work to improve efficiency to achieve productivity and delivery goals. Organize and maintain personal and company tools, equipment and work area in a professional manner. Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 yrs experience or demonstrate superior knowledge with proficiency in the machining field with manual machines. Setup & operation of all major machine tools available. Experience with use of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques. Must be able to read & interpret machining blueprints, and/or estimating machining time and process requirements for various tasks. JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to pass a drug screen & background check. Job Description Under general supervision, assists in the design and development and supports the sustainment of the existing product line of valves required to meet customer's needs or market demands in accordance to the industry standards. This role will primarily be working with trunnion-mounted ball valves, with secondary work on other products including gate, globe, check and floating ball valves. Utilize current manufacturing/business systems for cost, inventory and purchasing information. Prepare engineering documentation for drawings, bill of materials, material specification or other required data. Assist or conduct problem studies leading to recommendations for upgrading/improving existing equipment in field or lab environment. Under general supervision, perform product testing functions in a test lab facility and/or field location. Some travel may be required. Completes projects as assigned. Job Duties/Responsibilities Incumbent receives assignments of limited scope and complexity. Uses a variety of standard problem-solving techniques. May assist more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring computation methods. Duties are assigned with detailed oral and occasionally written instructions. Work is reviewed in detail with guidance given. May give limited technical guidance to junior professionals or technicians working on a common project. Problem solving with customer field service and supplier manufacturing issues. Assist customers with service compatibility & applications. Support sales customer requests for technical information & assistance. Skills/Knowledge Intermediate knowledge of engineering standards including codes and regulations affecting design development. Familiarity with API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34 required. Must be able to understand all phases of field operations and equipment with particular attention to department or work group's field of expertise. Intermediate expertise with Microsoft Office Suite of products, Word, Excel. Intermediate level of experience with Solid Works or similar engineering design software required. Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required Experience 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing, design, & product development for the valve industry.
