QUALIFICATIONS:

Education : Possession of a Bachelor’s degree with preference for Master’s degree in one of the following human services areas: social work, sociology, psychology, forensic psychology, interdisciplinary studies in social science, education, community development, law enforcement, behavioral science, gerontology, special education, education of the emotionally disturbed, education of the gifted, family ecology, community services, family studies, family and/or child development, counseling psychology, criminal justice, human services or in a human services-related counseling major.

Experience : Two-year experience working with families and assessment skills preferred, Child Welfare Training Institute training required.

Skills : interpersonal skills, time management skills, conflict resolution skills, computer skills, and documentation skills

Knowledge : Strength based family work, solution focused treatment, adoption process/ policies and procedures, child development, child welfare laws, foster care process

Transportation : Reliable and ongoing as required to make home visits, court attendance and provide transportation to youth and families, valid un-restricted driver’s license, good driving record, proof of automobile insurance.

Other : State of Michigan Licensing Requirements: Satisfactory DHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check, negative TB Test, satisfactory physical exam.

As Receptionist for Treatment Foster Care, you will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars for File and maintain records. Receive payment and record receipts for services. Perform administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or photocopying, faxing, filing, collating and data entry. Transmit information or documents to employees and other stakeholders by, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine. Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.) May also assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, collating, typing of documents, and data entry. Assists with meeting set up/planning to include conference room reservation, equipment availability, food ordering, etc. Delivers appropriate messages to departments and/or follows up with requested information as requested. Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies and corporate office employee break room supplies. Other duties as assigned.
