This position is a key role within our supply chain process who is responsible for coordinating with suppliers and optimizing inventory levels in support of business objectives. Strong multi-level communication and critical thinking skills are required. Must be comfortable with a dynamic work environment with willing to adjust priorities as the business requires. Develops and fosters strong working relationships with customer service, inventory control, logistics, production, and other internal teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties as assigned.)
Responsible for the timely initiation, execution and maintenance of supply plans as aligned with anticipated demand requirements.
Plan, prioritize, and adjust material supply plans in accordance with changing business conditions.
Reviews, controls and continuously improves supply processes and methodologies.
Responsible for inventory transfer between warehouses to meet customer requirements and expected service and inventory levels
Organizes and implements, with direction from operational management, inventory management strategies, such as reductions of obsolete/discontinued inventories.
Develop, monitor and improve key performance metrics (such as out of stock occurrences, on-time-delivery performance, lead time conformance and other operational metrics), to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain business relationships with all approved suppliers to promote company requirements and guidelines
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following.
4+ years operational planning experience with emphasis on MRP and supply chain execution in a dynamically changing environment
Ability to communicate professionally across multiple audiences, spanning multiple organizational levels.
Advanced data-driven capabilities, focused on decision-making using broad inputs
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under time constraints and/or high-pressure environment
Ability to expand business knowledge independently, without prompting
MS-Office proficient, advanced Excel skills required
Fluent verbal and written English
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in a material planning/purchasing function or equivalent combination of on-the-job experience in a manufacturing organization

Job Duties:
Demand Planning- Collaborate, manage and align demand planning processes to meet KPI's and overall business objectives. Effectively use and maintain the current demand planning system. Troubleshoot, research and resolve issues as they arise. Lead, identify and implement continuous improvement of processes and systems of the production floor. Meet or exceed performance goals and objectives
Sales and Operations Planning- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning and others to support the S&OP Demand Planning process for the site.
Inventory Planning- Manage and maintain Demand Planning system to deliver accurate long term and short terms forecasts for the production planning team. Contribute to inventory strategy goals by improving Forecast Accuracy and Bias.
Manage and work with raw materials vendors, this includes packaging, sugar, rice, milk volumes to ensure we have a balanced min/max level.
Business Team Support- Collaborate with business partners on product line activity to improve metrics. Track new product launches and product discontinuations and assist business teams in their decision making. Optimize promotions, events, and other causal factors
Adjust schedules and move work orders as needed to optimize the production run while meeting sales demands.
Schedule the following weeks schedule each week, utilizing the Master Planning Schedule sent out by Corporate Planning team. (Weekly)
Lead the meeting on YTD PO Spend vs. Budget Review (weekly)
Work with Sourcing on Planning Milk and other ingredient requirements necessary for daily production. Ensure these adjustments are communicated effectively to the production teams.
Update and Review the Volume data Daily to analyze trends. Lead discussions to improve performance as required.
Perform deep dive analysis of waste factors and lead improvements with the Operations Team, and incorporate the production teams into these discussions
Physicaland time demands:
This position will require a mix between office work and a production floor presence
Will need to be able to work in a cold environment where temperatures can vary from 32° to 98° degrees.
On occasion, business demands may require some employees to work overtime.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience with Supply Chain Planning, Operations Management, and/or Supply Chain Management
Quantitative skills; ability to analyze data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Be knowledgeable with JD Edwards, Microsoft software (Excel Expert), new scheduling tools
Preferably have Vorne data (OEE) experience

Prepares plans for the day, releases work to ensure smooth flow of work, monitor inventory levels/movement daily with minimal delay.
Manage cycle count; ensure entire all bins are counted at least twice annually; maintain, schedule, and direct weekly cycle counts
Support analysis and identification of replenishment items
Receive barges and rail cars
