TheProduction Planneris responsible for the daily Scheduling of all Work Orders within the Kozy Shack Turlock Operations Site and optimizing daily production. The Production Planner will conform to the required GMP and Safety procedures and follow all verbal and/or written instructions of the Operations Manager, Quality Control and Corporate Planning Team. This role is at a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility for Land O'Lakes, creating dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness.We believe there's power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people's lives. Job Duties: Demand Planning- Collaborate, manage and align demand planning processes to meet KPI's and overall business objectives. Effectively use and maintain the current demand planning system. Troubleshoot, research and resolve issues as they arise. Lead, identify and implement continuous improvement of processes and systems of the production floor. Meet or exceed performance goals and objectives Sales and Operations Planning- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning and others to support the S&OP Demand Planning process for the site. Inventory Planning- Manage and maintain Demand Planning system to deliver accurate long term and short terms forecasts for the production planning team. Contribute to inventory strategy goals by improving Forecast Accuracy and Bias. Manage and work with raw materials vendors, this includes packaging, sugar, rice, milk volumes to ensure we have a balanced min/max level. Business Team Support- Collaborate with business partners on product line activity to improve metrics. Track new product launches and product discontinuations and assist business teams in their decision making. Optimize promotions, events, and other causal factors Adjust schedules and move work orders as needed to optimize the production run while meeting sales demands. Schedule the following weeks schedule each week, utilizing the Master Planning Schedule sent out by Corporate Planning team. (Weekly) Lead the meeting on YTD PO Spend vs. Budget Review (weekly) Work with Sourcing on Planning Milk and other ingredient requirements necessary for daily production. Ensure these adjustments are communicated effectively to the production teams. Update and Review the Volume data Daily to analyze trends. Lead discussions to improve performance as required. Perform deep dive analysis of waste factors and lead improvements with the Operations Team, and incorporate the production teams into these discussions Physicaland time demands: This position will require a mix between office work and a production floor presence Will need to be able to work in a cold environment where temperatures can vary from 32° to 98° degrees. On occasion, business demands may require some employees to work overtime. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Experience with Supply Chain Planning, Operations Management, and/or Supply Chain Management Quantitative skills; ability to analyze data. Preferred Qualifications: Be knowledgeable with JD Edwards, Microsoft software (Excel Expert), new scheduling tools Preferably have Vorne data (OEE) experience Be knowledgeable of production requirements and limitations of production teams and understand how to optimize the production teams. Our Long Beach Distribution site is seeking a Production Planner! We are seeking a motivated, customer service team member to assist in the management of our day to day logistic activity. This position reports to the Site Operations Manager, works with sales, and partners with third party vendors to provide reliable service to meet our customer's need. Monitor the daily order status report and create shipments for outbound deliveries and shipment and customer pickups Monitor the inbound deliver status reports and documents Prepares plans for the day, releases work to ensure smooth flow of work, monitor inventory levels/movement daily with minimal delay. Manage cycle count; ensure entire all bins are counted at least twice annually; maintain, schedule, and direct weekly cycle counts Support analysis and identification of replenishment items Receive barges and rail cars Maintain close communication with sales/operations and logistics dept. for smooth operation. Cancelled incorrect deliveries from shipments and re-arrange the deliveries/shipments. Arrange deliveries in the most cost-effective route. Create shipping paperwork and invoices - Load Documents or Bill of Lading. Monitor the Site activity monitor for any delays or problems in deliveries/shipments Maintain the daily shipment schedules/keep close contact with Dispatch managers for load schedules Resolve all inventory and production SAP transaction issues Coordinate sales, marketing, replenishment, and mill requirements into inventory management Provide daily updates on the status of scheduled shipments, outstanding loads awaiting scheduling, and any issues impacting delivery timelines.
