Summary

Key Responsibilities

The Technician will monitor and verify that the programs are being performed and documented correctly during day-to-day operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
· Responsible for the constant
monitoring of all raw materials, production procedures/methods/standards and
overall finished product quality.

Conduct line monitoring of all production lines in operation; recording
measurements and weights. If lines run poor quality, tech will be able to place
product on hold and stop line if needed.

Assist in updating or implementing production and food safety aids such as
guidelines, scaling weight charts, HACCP, GMP's, etc.

Conduct daily plant walk-throughs and audit GMP and food safety compliance.

Maintain well-organized, detailed and legible records.
Food
Safety Production Areas:
· Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that
are required.
· Understand, observe, and
comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in
the Production Areas.
· Perform all duties necessary to meet product
specifications, Company, and or Government requirements / standards as
prioritized by the Company.
· Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or
Quality issues or of any processes, which become non-compliant with specified
requirements.
· Ability to initiate action to prevent the
occurrence of non-conformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the
product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
· Identify and record any problems relating to
Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, packaging, quality
system, or safety system.
· Controls further processing or delivery of
nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency
or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
· In
the absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational and
administrative duties.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
This job contributes to Evolution Fresh success by ensuring product quality information is provided to all necessary parties, samples are maintained, and raw materials have complete traceability to the finished product. Models and acts in accordance with Evolution Fresh guiding principles
JOB DUTIES:
* Maintain records and manages all aspects of testing activities
* Petrifilm plating and interpretation of results
* Ability to conduct startup procedures and closeout procedures
* Process Plant trial samples and send to third party Laboratory
* Process and interpret all production samples
* Conducts investigations in data deviations
* Calibration of lab equipment and trouble shooting
* Perform sample preparation and testing of raw materials and finished products
* Complete data and follows the status of all tests, generate reports and communicate findings.
* Perform Sterile Air and environmental Air testing according to EMP
* Conduct water sampling and testing
* Maintain the safety, cleanliness and hygienic laboratory work environment including periodic/planned maintenance, cleaning and monitoring of equipment and the work areas
* Follow lab safety protocols to maintain lab hygiene and eliminate cross contamination
* Participate in proficiency program and test control samples
* Assist or perform other duties/projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Some experience in Microbiology/ Chemistry lab in the food processing environment
* Regulated food manufacturing environment with familiarity of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards (1 year)
* Scientific method and report writing (1 year)
