Conduct intensive nutrition counseling and weight management education via phone, video, chat, text, and email. Provide medication management and support for comorbidities related to obesity under the supervision of assigned physicians. Engage in remote patient monitoring for various devices (e.g., scale, BG meter, BP monitor, ketone meter). Support patients with dosing and titration of anti-obesity medications within established protocols. Collaborate with team physicians and external providers to ensure comprehensive care. Quickly establish rapport and therapeutic alliances with a diverse patient population. Utilize motivational interviewing and other techniques to support behavior change. Consistently meet program metrics while maintaining high-quality care standards. Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner. What do you need to bring to the table? Must be a Registered Dietitian credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. If required, you must hold state licensure. Willingness and ability to add state licenses as needed to support member coverage. Able to incorporate constructive feedback to improve patient interactions. Must have a HIPAA friendly workspace with high-speed internet for secure patient conversations. Comfortable with advanced technology, including electronic medical records and various digital tools. Demonstrated ability to adapt communication techniques to meet the needs of a diverse patient population. Flexible schedule with a commitment to a minimum of 20 hours per week. Cannot hold full-time employment elsewhere. Must live in the United States. What are some "nice to haves"? Certification from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) is strongly preferred. Availability on evenings and Saturdays. Compensation: Pay: $42-47 per hour based on years credentialed by the CDR as a Registered Dietitian. All-inclusive pay structure: hourly compensation for all work performed - including charting and administrative time (ie: not a flat fee per session). Longevity recognition: Receive a $500 bonus after 6 months, followed by quarterly bonuses beginning at your 1-year anniversary. Develops and implements a plan of care based on assessment of nutritional needs and correlated with other health care plans. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Calculates medical nutrition therapy order and provides nutrition counseling for all patients on medical nutrition therapy orders who require intervention; • Maintains accurate record of medical nutrition therapy instructions performed and individual meal pattern if appropriate; • Charts appropriately and accurately in the patient medical record after each patient contact; and • Accurately calculates tube feedings giving volume, concentration, and administration rate. 3. Provides nutrition evaluation by maintaining communications through written record systems with the health care team concerning dietary history, adequacy of food intake, education, and the need for supplementation. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: • Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance; • Monitors food intolerances, food/drug interactions, allergies and preference of patients including religious beliefs; • Regularly monitors nutritional problems such as chewing and swallowing difficulties, and patients with poor appetite and/or intake; • Maintains accurate record of each patient contact and the result of that contact. 4. Provides nutritional education to patients and staff.
