Responsible for improving experience with the EHR and associated clinical IT systems. Will be a leader and change agent, working closely with leaders and clinicians to understand their users' work flows and needs. The candidate will work within the Talkowski Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. As a highly motivated, enthusiastic contributor, will work with our research group to detect, annotate, and characterize genetic variants in large cohorts of patients with autism and other neuropsychiatric conditions. The Talkowski Lab is a large, diverse, and interdisciplinary group of scientists dedicated to the characterization of genomic variation contributing to human disease. The group is leading and contributing to multiple international consortia that collect, process, aggregate, and analyze genomic sequencing data on a large scale.
Will process incoming sequencing datasets through established pipelines and will contribute to the development of new analysis workflows. Effectively communicate with other subteams to ensure that new analysis workflows are distributed across teams.
Perform high-quality, genome-scale computational analyses under the supervision of the group leader in a timely manner. Quickly learn new analytical approaches and be capable of applying and developing novel computational methods for solving complex problems. Must apply extensive practical programming experience, as well as experience with cloud computation and workflow management systems. Must also contribute experience with implementing large-scale computational analyses, algorithm development, or statistical analysis. Knowledge of existing analysis tools, methods, and databases in the field of genomics is a significant plus.
This position is hybrid, with the option of flexible remote working hours.
Essential Functions:
* Serve as member of the team analyzing the sequencing data for the Autism Sequencing Consortium. Assist with the development of analysis aiming at (1) calling and annotating variants in short read sequencing data and (2) developing association frameworks to link detected variants to phenotypes.
* Perform complex data acquisition, storage, cleaning, and pre-processing
* Performs advanced quantitative statistical analysis methods
* Dissemination of results via presentation and publications.

Reporting to the Supervisor Call Center Operations, the Senior Operator Call Center, goal is to provide outstanding customer care to every caller. The Senior Operator position ensures that the main number, page calls and answering service business are answered in a consistent, efficient, and courteous manner.
The Operator of Customer Service in a multifunctional 24/7 on site medical call center. The position includes processing calls for Main Listed Number, Patient Information, Paging, and Answering Service. The ideal candidate would be able to toggle between multi screens seamlessly and treat every caller as a welcome guest.
· Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls in an expedient, efficient and courteous manner.
· Responsible for handling requests for paging as well as retrieval of pages efficiently and accurately.
· Responsible for requests from staff regarding changing the status of their pagers.
· Responsible for announcement of pager activation of all PHS Codes which includes internal and external disasters, infant abduction, medical, fire and safety emergencies, often of a life threatening nature.
· Responsible for responding to all telephone requests for patient information, which may include handling of confidential information.
· Responsible for issuing loaner pagers and/or adding as well as deleting pagers to PHS paging system which includes updating PHS telephone directory and paging databases.
· Responsible for responding to requests from staff regarding department on call schedules.
· Responsible for handling answering service calls in an efficient and courteous manner.
· Escalates any unusual or difficult problems with telephoned, the paging system or answering services to the supervisor.
· Must be confident and capable to assume the duties of the supervisor in the event of their absence.
· Responsible for handling any problem calls or situations that may arise in the office professionally and efficiently.
· Responsible for maintenance of on call schedules and answering service changes that occurs which includes a thorough knowledge of all staff rotating on call and that the information is kept current and accurate.
· Assists supervisor to ensure sufficient shift coverage for open positions and sick calls.

The Director of Development plays an integral role in strengthening the Mass General Brigham, Academic Medical Centers philanthropic program. The Director is an individual contributor who will be working directly with Department of Medicine faculty and leadership to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individuals and families. The Therapeutic Float is responsible for helping to manage the therapeutic needs of participants in collaboration with their group leaders, assistant group leaders and leadership staff. Job Summary
The Operating Room Surgical Aide works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. He/she works under the direct supervision of the registered professional nurse, the Pod Leader, and the Operating Room Charge Nurse. The O.R. Surgical Aide is responsible for the transportation of patients to and from the Operating Room and other locations. As needed and directed, he/she assists nursing staff in the rooms with patient care which includes positioning and transfer of anesthetized patients as well as supporting limbs during a surgical skin prep. He/she is also responsible for performing a shave prep of the patient prior to surgery, according to established guidelines, and the delivery of specimens and blood products to and from the Laboratory and Radiology. Other duties include between-case cleaning, the handling of infectious waste, sharps, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the Pods and CSR2 Soiled area. The O.R. Surgical Aide is responsible for maintaining inventory levels of specified stock items in the Operating Room, and the preparation of stretchers and oxygen tanks to see that both are ready and available when needed for patient transport. Prioritization of patient care tasks at hand and communication with health care team members is an important factor in performing the duties of this role. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Understands the importance and practice of Isolation/Precautions in patient care. •Maintains inventory level of specified stock items within the Operating Room according to established guidelines. •Responsible for assisting nursing staff in the rooms as needed and directed (i.e. turning, moving anesthetized patients, holding of extremities for surgical prep, gathering of equipment, etc.). •Performs between-case cleaning in order to minimize turnaround between surgical procedures. •Checks status of stretchers to assure they are ready and available when needed for patient transport. Cleans according to established policy and procedure. •Responsible for performing the Balancing of the Total Care Bed for specific patient populations prior to patient use. •Checks status of oxygen tanks on stretchers to assure O2 is always available for patient transport. •Maintains inventory of medical gases for patient care, i.e. oxygen, laser mixture, nitrogen, compressed air. •Delivery of specimens and blood products to the Laboratory or Radiology, as directed by nursing personnel. •Cleans Operating Room equipment at end of surgical procedures, including surgical table, mayo stands, ring stands, instrument tables, kick buckets and IV poles, according to established infection control policies and procedures, i.e. Isolation/Precautions. •Runs errands as needed and directed by registered professional nurse and/or charge nurse, understanding the importance of efficiency in performing tasks. •Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to see that each Operating Room is clean and all equipment is in place. •Performs shave prep on surgical patient as directed, according to established guidelines, policy and procedure. •Determines specific waste type, i.e. hazardous vs. regular, for proper disposal of O.R. trash. •Maintains order and cleanliness in CSR2 Soiled room where linen, trash, and infectious waste are stored prior to disposal via CSR/Environmental Services. •Communicates pertinent information with regard to patient care concerns to appropriate personnel. •Responsible for application of the principles of asepsis to maintain integrity of the sterile field. •Assists and collaborates with the Circulating nurse and Surgical Technologist to set up for surgical procedures with proper instrumentation, equipment and supplies. •Assists in the care, cleaning and maintenance of all general and specialty instruments, equipment and supplies according to established guidelines, policies and procedures. •Maintains confidentiality of information related to individual patients and patient care units.

The Lee Lab at Mass Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School seeks a bright and motivated individual for a research assistant position. Research will focus on novel modes of auditory stimulation with an array of auditory prothesis, including cochlear implants and auditory brainstem implants using electrical, magnetic and optogenetic stimulation. Responsibilities of the laboratory technician including a wide range intricate in-vivo surgeries using transgenic mouse strains and guinea pigs including stereotaxic injection, auditory brainstem implantation, cochlear implantation, middle ear and inner ear injections, as well as maintaining animal colonies, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, data analysis and contributions to clinical reviews.

Essential Functions
Infection Prevention & Program Leadership
• Leads and coordinates the MGH and MEE Ambulatory Infection Control program, ensuring alignment with academic medical center standards, research demands, and teaching priorities.

HLDS Oversight

Summary
Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital's behavioral health settings. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols and procedures specific to behavioral health environments, conducting risk assessments, and providing training and support to staff members. This role works closely with clinical teams, security personnel, and other departments to create a safe and therapeutic environment.

-Develop, review, and update safety policies and procedures specific to behavioral health settings.
-Ensure protocols comply with regulatory standards and best practices for patient and staff safety.
-Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
-Monitor incidents and near-misses, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions.
-Provide safety training and education to staff on behavioral health safety practices, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
-Respond to and manage behavioral health-related incidents and emergencies, including patient aggression or self-harm.
-Provide support to patients and staff during and after safety incidents, ensuring emotional and psychological well-being.

Associate's Degree Mental Health & Behavioral Medicine required or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Gross Dissection: Dictates gross descriptions and performs complete dissections of surgical specimens, documenting characteristics such as type, size, weight, color, and anatomical details.
Microscopic Examination: Selects and submits tissue sections for microscopic analysis.
Instruction & Training: Provides formal and informal instruction to pathology residents, PA students, and medical students on gross descriptions, dissection, and sampling of surgical pathology and frozen section specimens.
Tissue Collection: Assists in the collection and submission of tissue for controls, teaching, research, and tissue/tumor banking.
Frozen Section Processing: Evaluates tissue for frozen sectioning, cuts and stains sections, and prepares samples for telepathology review.
Specimen Storage Management: Oversees specimen storage within the surgical pathology area, maintains records, and disposes of specimens as needed.
Postmortem Examinations: Ensures all proper legal authorizations are obtained before performing postmortem examinations.

Qualifications:
Master's Degree from NAACLS accredited and AAPA approved Pathologists' Assistant Training Program required prior to date of hire.
PA(ASCP) certification required. Recent graduates must obtain PA(ASCP) certification within 1 calendar year from date of training program completion.
Two or more years of experience highly desired with preference in academic setting.
