About PostHog
We're shipping every product that companies need from their first day, to the day they IPO, and beyond. The operating system for folks who build products.
We started with open-source product analytics, launched out of Y Combinator's W20 cohort. We've since shipped more than a dozen products, including:
A built-in data warehouse, so users can query product and customer data together using custom SQL insights.
A customer data platform, so they can send their data wherever they need with ease.
PostHog AI, an AI-powered analyst that answers product questions, helps users find useful session recordings, and writes custom SQL queries.
Next on the roadmap are CRM, workflow, revenue analytics, and support products. When we say every product, we really mean it!
We are:
Product-led. More than 100,000 companies have installed PostHog, mostly driven by word-of-mouth. We have intensely strong product-market fit.
Well-funded. We've raised more than $100m from some of the world's top investors. We're set up for a long, ambitious journey.
Default alive. Revenue is growing 10% MoM on average, and we're very efficient. We raise money to push ambition and grow faster, not to keep the lights on.
We're focused on building an awesome product for end users, hiring exceptional teammates, shipping fast, and being as weird as possible.
Things we care about
Transparency: Everyone can read about our roadmap, how we pay (or even let go of) people, our strategy, and how we work, in our public company handbook. Internally, we share revenue, notes and slides from board meetings, and fundraising plans, so everyone has the context they need to make good decisions.
Autonomy: We don't tell anyone what to do. Everyone chooses what to work on next based on what's going to have the biggest impact on our customers, and what they find interesting and motivating to work on. Engineers lead product teams and make product decisions. Teams are flexible and easy to change when needed.
Shipping fast: Why not now? We want to build a lot of products; we can't do that shipping at a normal pace. We've built the company around small teams - autonomous, highly-efficient groups of cracked engineers who can outship much larger companies because they own their products end-to-end.
Time for building: Nothing gets shipped in a meeting. We're a natively remote company. We default to async communication - PRs > Issues > Slack. Tuesdays and Thursdays are meeting-free days, and we prioritize heads down building time over perfect coordination. This will be the most productive job you've ever had.
Ambition: We want to solve big problems. We strongly believe aiming for the best possible upside, and sometimes missing, is better than never trying. We're optimistic about what's possible and our ability to get there.
Being weird: Weird means redesigning an already world-class website for the 5th time. It means shipping
literally
every product that relates to customer data. It means building an objectively unnecessary developer toy with dubious shareholder value. Doing weird stuff is a competitive advantage. And it's fun.
Job Summary
You'll be working with some of the fastest-growing startups in the world while being able to shape how early-stage teams adopt analytics, feature flags, experimentations, LLM analytics, and more. This is an exciting role to influence product direction by bringing consistent, high-signal feedback from high-growth founders. You get to own a unique high-impact segment: companies that grow quickly and often become major PostHog customers.
Note: The compensation for this role is under the "onboarding specialist" role.
What you'll be doing
Own relationships with YC companies spending $20k-$50k/year under the PostHog credits program.
Help YC founders and early engineers implement PostHog correctly: instrumentation, schemas, metrics, and multi-product usage.
Provide technical guidance on analytics, feature flags, experimentation, and replay.
Monitor growth signals to determine when YC companies will exceed the $50k threshold and transition to TAM ownership.
represent YC user needs in all the things
Offer lightweight, high-leverage guidance appropriate for early-stage teams.
Ensure YC companies are set up for long-term success before they become revenue-generating.
What you won't be working on
❌ Enterprise-style renewals
❌ contract negotiation
❌ heavy account management, or deep expansion work
Requirements
Strong technical aptitude; able to work directly with engineering teams.
Experience at an early-stage startup (preferably YC) - ideally a former YC founder or early employee.
Ability to guide teams on event modeling, instrumentation, and analytics best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage a portfolio of 30+ accounts and prioritize effectively.
Based in the Bay Area to meet customers as needed
Nice to have
Experience working with similar technologies, ie. developer tools more broadly, or specifically product analytics, session replay, feature flags, A/B testing, data warehouses, or data pipelines.
If you have a disability, please let us know if there's any way we can make the interview process better for you - we're happy to accommodate!

Founder job in San Francisco, CA
About Happyrobot
HappyRobot is a platform to build and deploy AI workers that automate communication. See a demo
Our AI workers connect to any system or data source to handle phone calls, email, messages…
We target the logistics industry which relies heavily on communication to book, check on, & pay for freight. Primarily working with freight brokers, 3PLs, freight forwarders, shippers, warehouses, & other supply chain enterprises and tech startups.
We're thrilled to share that with our $44M Series B, HappyRobot has now raised a total of $62M - backed by leading investors who believe in our mission and vision for the future.
We're looking for rockstars with a relentless drive, unstoppable energy, and a true passion for building something great-ready to embrace the challenge, push limits, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
Role Overview
We're looking for a high-potential Founder's Associate to work directly with our founders. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career operator with a consulting background who wants maximum exposure to how a high-growth startup is built from the inside.
This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm who is hungry to move fast, take ownership, and operate at the center of the company.
You'll act as a force multiplier - helping coordinate across teams, managing priorities, improving operational rigor, and making day-to-day ops significantly more effective. Over time, the scope will naturally grow into broader strategy and operations initiatives across the business.
What You'll DoFounder Support & Execution
Act as a right hand to the co-founder, helping manage priorities, context switching, and follow-ups
Coordinate with Executive Assistants and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
Prepare briefs, documents, decks, and analyses ahead of meetings and decisions
Track action items and ensure high-velocity execution across teams
Strategy & Operations

Help drive cross-functional projects from idea to execution
Build simple but effective systems to improve internal operations
Work closely with the Founding Office / Strategy & Ops team on ad-hoc high-impact problems
Communication & Coordination
Interface with internal leaders and external partners
Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous situations
Ensure information flows smoothly between teams
What We're Looking For
1-3 years of experience at a top management consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent)
Based in San Francisco (or willing to relocate) and excited about in-person work
Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
High ownership mentality - you see problems and fix them without being asked
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and moving fast
Low ego, high hunger, and genuinely excited about startups and early-stage companies
Nice to Have
Experience working closely with senior executives or founders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Prior exposure to startups, tech, or high-growth environments
Why This Role Matters
This is not a traditional “assistant” role. It's a launchpad position designed for someone who wants to:
Learn directly from a founder on a daily basis
Gain deep exposure to company-level decision making
Grow into larger ownership within Strategy, Ops, or other leadership paths over time
You'll be part of the Founding Office, with visibility across the company and the chance to make an outsized impact very early in your career.
Why join us?
Opportunity to work at a high-growth AI startup, backed by top investors.
Fast Growth - Backed by a16z and YC, on track for eight figure ARR.
Ownership & Autonomy - Take full ownership of projects and ship fast.
Comprehensive Benefits - Healthcare, dental, vision coverage.
Top-Tier Compensation - Competitive salary + equity in a high-growth startup.
Work With the Best - Join a world-class team of engineers and builders.
Our Operating Principles
Extreme Ownership
We take full responsibility for our work, outcomes, and team success. No excuses, no blame-shifting - if something needs fixing, we own it and make it better. This means stepping up, even when it's not “your job.” If a ball is dropped, we pick it up. If a customer is unhappy, we fix it. If a process is broken, we redesign it. We don't wait for someone else to solve it - we lead with accountability and expect the same from those around us.
Craftsmanship
Putting care and intention into every task, striving for excellence, and taking deep ownership of the quality and outcome of your work. Craftsmanship means never settling for “just fine.” We sweat the details because details compound. Whether it's a product feature, an internal doc, or a sales call - we treat it as a reflection of our standards. We aim to deliver jaw-dropping customer experiences by being curious, meticulous, and proud of what we build - even when nobody's watching.
***We are “majos”***Be friendly & have fun with your coworkers. Always be genuine & honest, but kind. “Majo” is our way of saying: be a good human. Be approachable, helpful, and warm. We're building something ambitious, and it's easier (and more fun) when we enjoy the ride together. We give feedback with kindness, challenge each other with respect, and celebrate wins together without ego.
Urgency with Focus
Create the highest impact in the shortest amount of time. Move fast, but in the right direction. We operate with speed because time is our most limited resource. But speed without focus is chaos. We prioritize ruthlessly, act decisively, and stay aligned. We aim for high leverage: the biggest results from the simplest, smartest actions. We're running a high-speed marathon - not a sprint with no strategy.
Talent Density and Meritocracy
Hire only people who can raise the average; ‘exceptional performance is the passing grade.' Ability trumps seniority. We believe the best teams are built on talent density - every hire should raise the bar. We reward contribution, not titles or tenure. We give ownership to those who earn it, and we all hold each other to a high standard. A-players want to work with other A-players - that's how we win.
First-Principles Thinking
Strip a problem to physics-level facts, ignore industry dogma, rebuild the solution from scratch. We don't copy-paste solutions. We go back to basics, ask why things are the way they are, and rebuild from the ground up if needed. This mindset pushes us to innovate, challenge stale assumptions, and move faster than incumbents. It's how we build what others think is impossible.

Founder's Associate
Encord
Founder job in San Francisco, CA
About UsAt Encord, we're building the AI infrastructure of the future. The biggest challenge AI companies face today is not half as glamorous as the outside world may think: it's all about data quality. In fact, the success of any AI application today relies on the quality of a model's data - and for 95% of teams, this essential step is both the most costly, and the most time-consuming, in getting their product to market.
As ex-computer scientists, physicists, and quants, we felt first-hand how the lack of tools to prepare quality training data was impeding the progress of building AI. AI today is what the early days of computing or the internet were like, where the potential of the technology is clear, but the tools and processes surrounding it are still primitive, preventing the next generation of applications. This is why we started Encord.
We are a talented and ambitious team of 100+, working at the cutting edge of multimodal AI and deep learning, backed by top investors, including Next47, CRV and YC, leading industry executives like Luc Vincent, former VP of AI at Meta, and other top Bay Area leaders in AI. We are one the fastest growing companies in our space, and consistently rated as the best tool in the market by our customers. We have big plans ahead and are looking for a rockstar Founder's Associate to join us and help us scale.
The RoleThis is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, multi-talented individual who wants to see the inside of a fast-paced scaleup and work closely with the co-founders and senior team. The ideal candidate is a superstar who is willing to work hard, roll up their sleeves and support the founders in their day-to-day tasks, while learning about every aspect of what it takes to run a fast growing business. You will work directly with Encord's senior team and get unique visibility into an exciting, high-growth, mission-based scaleup.
ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will involve:- Working directly with the co-founders and other members of the senior team on a variety of projects/ tasks: from presentations and spreadsheets, to basic reporting and various growth initiatives- Research: ranging from customer research to identifying new opportunities to supporting strategic decisions - Tracking the ROI of various growth channels to improve resource allocation and identify new growth curves- Designing, releasing & improving a careers page to attract the next wave of Encord talent- Ensure we keep our start-up atmosphere as we scale: plan and coordinate activities and events (e.g., team outings, in-office events etc.)- Be integral part in growing the business - support Encord's presence on social media, conferences and more - Crunching numbers on customer's usage of the product to help inform our Customer Success team's quarterly success planning

You are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuff done - from slides for an internal meeting to a demo for a client.- You're an expert at taking end-to-end ownership of broad, ambiguous problems and thinking from first principles to achieve a result.- You're obsessed with achieving an objective and getting results. You work best when given an outcome to aim towards, and iterating autonomously (collaborating with the rest of the team/pulling people in as needed) to find a way there. You don't take no for an answer; you are scrappy and resourceful.- You're an entrepreneur and want to be a part of building a business from the ground up. You work hard and smartly - you're always thinking of ways to accomplish more with the time and energy you have.- You're detail oriented and organized, and you proactively pull others in when you need help before you get stuck. We value results. We worship data. We don't chase fads. We build companies that change the world for the better. About the Founder-in-Residence Role
A Founder-in-Residence (or "FIR") is an entrepreneur we partner with to build a venture-backed company that solves an Unmet Need. Typically, we begin a partnership with a FIR to develop an idea that is still in its infancy
Please review our Founder Deck here for more information: *************************************
If you have already raised capital, or already found product-market fit and your unit economics work, then you are likely too late for our Founder-in-Residence program. We do make a select few traditional pre-seed investments in highly thematic companies. If you are interested in pitching for direct investment, please use Platform's DeckSend tool to send your deck for consideration: ***************************************
We recommend reviewing this blog post prior to applying to determine if it makes sense for you to apply: **********************************************************************
What Platform FIR's Get
Validated startup idea: A clear, unmet need in the real estate market with significant de-risking.
Initial capital and access to our investor network: You will receive the funding needed to get off the ground and the backing of our extensive network of investors.
Tried and true glide-path to success: We provide a roadmap of specific, measurable milestones to guide your journey, based on our extensive experience in building startups
Talented, flexible, remote-first studio team: Our team brings deep expertise in design, engineering, research, talent, and growth to help you build, launch, and iterate efficiently.
Shared ops, HR, and G&A functions: Including legal, finance, etc., to let you focus on building.
Access to Platform Guild: Our network of ~80K trusted advisors and subject-matter experts.
Coaching: Continuous guidance to keep you on track.
Compensation: While the primary motivation to build a startup should be the upside from ownership, we will compensate you for your time.
What We're Looking For
Coachability: Being coachable is crucial for startup founders. It's about being open to learning, adapting, and growing from feedback. Successful founders refine their vision through continuous feedback, improving both their product and their sales strategies. Coachability keeps you aligned with the market, ready to pivot, and committed to solving problems in the best way possible. It's a key trait that shows you're ready for the startup journey.
Sales Aptitude: Sales are everything in the early days of a startup. From fundraising to hiring to closing deals, everything revolves around selling. Instead of focusing on elaborate systems, start selling right away-get out there, make calls, and close deals. Sales aptitude is essential for getting your business off the ground.
Ambiguity Tolerance: Embracing ambiguity is vital for startup founders. High ambiguity tolerance means being comfortable with uncertainty and staying adaptable. It's about moving forward confidently even when the path isn't clear, which is essential in the unpredictable world of startups.
Venture-Backed & Tech Domain Knowledge: Experience in venture-backed startups and tech, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), is a significant advantage. It helps founders navigate the funding process, pitch to investors, and make smart technology choices, particularly in leveraging AI to enhance their products and services. Understanding LLMs allows founders to integrate advanced AI capabilities, improve user interactions, and scale their operations more effectively. This knowledge is crucial for building scalable systems, managing growth, and staying competitive in an increasingly AI-driven market.
Note: Please do not pitch us in this application. We don't want to hear why you think your idea is the greatest thing ever. Instead, we want to hear about why you want to partner with us to solve a problem and engage in a process to discover the right solution. If you don't feel like you have a bulletproof, perfect answer to some of these questions, that's normal. Do your best and show your work.
We most want to understand who you are: your story, your motivation for being a founder, why you care about the problem you're trying to solve, and how you think about and approach problem-solving. Take this opportunity to tell us who you are and let it serve as a reflective exercise for yourself as a founder.

Who Will Not Be a Fit
Traditional recruiters from large, process-driven environments
Candidates who rely on rigid playbooks or structured orgs
People looking to impose their own founder agenda
Ego-driven “chief of staff” archetypes
Talent that requires heavy direction, templates, or guardrails
Where Strong Talent Often Comes From
(Not requirements, just signals.)
VC analyst/associate cohorts and platform programs
Early-career founder-support roles at seed-stage companies
Early-stage recruiters who operated with high independence
Startup Chief of Staff / Founder's Office with genuine ecosystem orientation
Recent grads (1-4 years out) from top universities with early-stage experience
What You'll Gain
A rare opportunity to influence multiple startups from day zero
Direct access to founders, operators, and investors shaping new ventures
Career pathways into company leadership, venture, or founding roles
Competitive compensation and meaningful equity
Ideal Profile Summary
This role is not about running a talent acquisition function.
It's about identifying high-potential founders before they start companies, building trusted relationships, and helping shape opportunities worth pursuing.
The strongest fits tend to be:
Early-career venture or strategy talent who wants to be closer to creation, or
Small-startup generalists who “did everything” and thrive in unstructured work.
If you enjoy thinking about markets, talking to entrepreneurial people, attending events, testing ideas, and building relationships that lead to company formation-this role offers an unusually high leverage platform.

Former Founder
Roboflow
Founder job in San Francisco, CA
Who We Are
Our mission is to make the world programmable. Sight is one of the key ways we understand the world, and soon this will be true for the software we use, too.
We're building the tools, community, and resources needed to make the world programmable with artificial intelligence. Roboflow simplifies building and using computer vision models. Today, over 1M+ developers, including those from half the Fortune 100, use Roboflow's machine learning open source and hosted tools. That includes counting cells to accelerate cancer research, improving construction site safety, digitizing floor plans, preserving coral reef populations, guiding drone flight, and much more.
Roboflow is supported by great customers and investors, having raised over 63 million from Y Combinator, Google Ventures, Craft Ventures, Sam Altman, Lachy Groom, amongst other leading software investors.
Roboflowers are passionate builders who value ownership, accountability, and a bias toward action. We're curious, hands-on with new tech, and prefer showing our work over talking about it. Many of us have a founder mindset and thrive in our high-autonomy environment.
What We're Looking For
Primarily, you like to make great things with passionate colleagues. You are someone that likes to own outcomes, not only inputs. You're motivated by having responsibility and accountability. You're eager to ‘do the work,' big and small.
You're curious and learning about new technologies, perhaps an early tinkerer with ChatGPT and AI products. You show more than you tell.
You're motivated by the question, “How can I improve this?” and have a track record of doing so, even in ways adjacent to your role. Much of our current team is made up of former founders and thrive in the level of autonomy at Roboflow. Maybe you had a side hustle in high school or college.
Many Roboflowers have used our tools before joining. One of the best ways to stand out amongst other applicants is to write about something you have built with Roboflow or contribute to one of our open source projects.
Who You Are
You tell us! What is your superpower? As a former founder, you might have a background in Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, Marketing (or all of them!). We're constantly looking for smart, motivated people to work with and can define a role around your strengths.
Within one month, you will…
Spend the first week onboarding in person with your manager (you'll come to our NY or SF Hub!)
Start building a trusting relationship with your peers, and learning the company structure.
Ship a substantial new feature to an end user within your first week
Build your first Roboflow computer vision product (if you haven't already)
Who You'll Be Working With
Our team of ~70 attracts talent like executives that wanted to return to building, founders with a 100M+ exit, Roboflow users turned team members, open source contributors, a cyclist who biked across the United States, prolific high school hackers, a CTO from 100+ engineering organization, amongst many exceptional others.
Where You'll Work
Roboflow is distributed across the US and Europe. We currently have Hubs in New York City and San Francisco (and plan to open more as we grow density in new cities). We provide opportunities (like team onsites in different cities) and resources (like a $4000/yr travel stipend) to work in person with other team members as much as you'd like, while also supporting remote team members. You can work from one of our Hubs (we offer a relocation bonus), work from home, work at co-working spaces, etc. We want you to work where you work best!
When You'll Work
Roboflow primarily operates during the daytime hours in the US and there are some synchronous meetings you'll be expected to attend each week. Apart from that, we have a flexible schedule that allows you to work collaboratively with other team members and asynchronously when needed.
What You'll Receive
To determine your salary, we use a number of market and data-driven salary sources. We review all salaries every six months to ensure we stay in line with the market.
💰 The target compensation for this role is $70k-$150k base.
📈 In addition to our cash compensation, we offer generous perks and benefits. Below are some of the highlights:
$4000/yr Travel Stipend to travel anywhere anytime to work alongside other Roboflowers
$350/mo Productivity stipend to spend on things that make your work environment more productive, like high-speed internet at home or a co-working space
Cover up to 100% of your health insurance costs for you and your partner or family
Equity in the company so we are all invested in the future of computer vision
Below is the interview process you can expect for this role. We are all motivated to work with an exceptional team and don't currently have in-house recruiters. You will be speaking directly with our team about what it's like to work and thrive at Roboflow. We like to be decisive and work fast, so don't be surprised if all the below conversations happen over a day or two.

Founder's Associate
Sirenopt
Founder job in San Leandro, CA
SirenOpt helps manufacturers make better, safer, and more reliable micro- and nano-materials. These materials are the building blocks of critical sectors of the global economy such as batteries, computer chips, aircraft components, and power systems. But, surging material demand and growing complexity are pushing production to unprecedented scales and speeds, leaving manufacturers effectively flying blind. Small, undetected variations during production lead to wastage, lower performance, higher costs, and safety risks.
SirenOpt is changing this. Our manufacturing intelligence platform scans materials, revealing critical internal information without damaging them. Using a novel combination of cold atmospheric plasma, physics-informed machine learning, and predictive analytics, SirenOpt creates unique, real-time fingerprints that capture material signals no other method can access. These insights give manufacturers unprecedented visibility into how materials behave as they are made.
We turn hidden data into actionable intelligence to help manufacturers reduce variability and thus increase yield and performance. The technology can be deployed as a standalone tool or integrated directly into factory production lines. SirenOpt is currently deploying early versions of its platform with some of the largest industrial manufacturers in the world across North America, Europe, and Asia. Our first commercial product will be released in 2026.
