Franchising is an excellent way for a company to continue growing its business without managing the day-to-day operations of each location itself. However, how does it make sure that each location is profitable and meets its standards? That's the job of a franchise manager.

The franchise manager works with new investors who want to become franchisees, vets them, and prepares contracts. They also work with existing franchisees to help them increase sales and follow company policies on things such as product displays. The franchise manager has to pay attention to the big picture and little details that help a company succeed.

Since the franchise manager's job is basically to help other people become better at sales, it makes sense that they need some form of sales experience. Most franchise managers have a college degree. Depending on the position, you should also be prepared for long days and some travel--it takes time to visit all the locations!
