PACE RETAINS AN ON-STAFF TEAM OF NURSES, A PHARMACIST AND TWO PHYSICIANS WHO DISPENSE MEDICATION, MONITOR VITAL SIGNS AND TEND TO THE WELL-BEING OF THE PARTICIPANTS. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE PROGRAM HAD 289 PARTICIPANTS. PARTICIPANTS IN THE PACE PROGRAM CAN RECEIVE OUTPATIENT OR INPATIENT PHYSICIAN VISITS. EXAMPLES OF OUTPATIENT AND INPATIENT SERVICES ARE HOSPITALIZATION AND SPECIALIST VISITS. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, 1,405 INPATIENT AND 4,325 OUTPATIENT VISITS OCCURRED. FRANCISCAN PACE HAS ALSO ESTABLISHED THE PATIENT CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS BASIC SERVICES SUCH AS MEALS, CLEANING AND RESTROOM ASSISTANCE FOR THE PARTICIPANTS AT THEIR HOMES. DURING THE CURRENT YEAR, THE PROGRAM HAD 200 PARTICIPANTS.
