Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale history

In December 1987, Fuhrer Wholesale Company began selling Constellation brands (Corona / Modelo) in a nine-county area of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Also, in February of 1988, Fuhrer created two separate sales divisions (Coors and Anheuser-Busch).

In 1995, Fuhrer acquired the brands rights to DG Yuengling & Sons brands for the same 9 county geographic area as Coors and Constellation brands.

In 1999, Fuhrer Wholesale Company was awarded the brand rights for Mark Anthony Brands (Mike’s Hard Lemonade and later White Claw).

In 2002, Fuhrer acquired the brand rights for Anheuser-Busch brands in the counties of Armstrong, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, and Westmoreland counties.

Early in 2003, Fuhrer completes construction of a second warehouse facility at 3100 East Carson Street and creates separate warehousing and delivery of Coors (Fuhrer Wholesale Company) and Anheuser-Busch (Fuhrer Eagle Sales & Service) products.

In December of 2008, Fuhrer acquires a local competitive wholesaler and begins distribution of brands such as Sam Adams, Labatt, Southern Tier, Guinness, Stella Artois, Sierra Nevada, Smirnoff family, and Penn Pilsner.

In September of 2012, Fuhrer acquires the Anheuser-Busch brand rights for Lawrence and Butler counties.

In 2015, Fuhrer is awarded the brand rights to New Belgium Brewing brands (Fat Tire, Voodoo Ranger). New Belgium is currently the 4th largest craft brewer in the US.

In 2018, Fuhrer acquires the brand rights for Pittsburgh Brewing brands (IC Light, Iron City, American, and Blockhouse Brewing) for Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Indiana, Washington, and Westmoreland counties.
