Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows:
GL-5/GL-7 $49,739 - $89,518 per year
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. Duties and Responsibilities

Typical assignments include:

Production & Safety Operations
Operate production assets safely and in compliance with all procedures, guidelines, and good industry practices ensuring safe and efficient production.
Perform daily production tasks, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administrative duties as per control systems and procedures.
Report any safety, quality, or process-related issues immediately to the Team Leader / Shift Supervisor.

Assist in material delivery to batch-makers, return of leftover materials or empty containers to designated disposal/reconditioning areas, and proper handling of hazardous waste containers (labeling, dating, accumulation area).
Assist fill-off operators in obtaining correct containers; fill approved batches (1 gallon to 5000 gallons) into appropriate shipping containers; measure/ weigh for correct yield; check for leaks; complete batch tickets; label and send containers to shipping.
After fill-off: clean pumps, tanks, filter housing, and hoses; properly label and stage cleaning materials; stencil containers to meet shipment requirements.
Perform batch-making: weigh/measure raw materials per batch tickets, coordinate sample testing, implement QC adjustments as needed, and maintain housekeeping standards.
For milling / grinding operations (if assigned): setup, operate and break down mill; handle media/screens; observe flow/temperature controls; perform lock-out/tag-out procedures; lift metal objects (up to 40 lb, 5 ft height); inspect equipment wear; check grind fineness; adjust color as required.
Be prepared to support other production tasks for which you are trained, as required by production needs.
