Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and mentor assigned audit associates and interns on audit processes and assess the performance of the audit staff for engagement reviews. Work with members of the audit team to identify and resolve any client issues discovered during audit process. Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives. Research and analyze accounting issues and transactions and any audit-related or tax-related issues utilizing electronic databases. Develop and communicate recommendations for business and process improvements. Maintain good working relationships with client personnel to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff at all levels to perform audit services. Actively participate in audit planning meetings, closing meetings, and committee meetings as a key member of the audit team. Maintain the CEO's Outlook Contacts, ensuring special notations are in the memo sections as well as other documents of importance (resumes, bios, linked-in profile links, etc.) Helped the CEO manage a complex and confidential email account, deleting junk, accepting, declining, and deleting unnecessary items for the CEO's review (“thank you”, etc.), and flagging items of importance. Organizing and coordinating conference calls/video conferences. Opens, scans, and sorts executive office mail for importance, urgency, and distribution. Act as a mentor to all administrative & support staff across all Aprio Offices. Be a brand ambassador for the Aprio Fundamentals. Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred, or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the job's essential functions. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years experience supporting Chief Executives, preferably in a high-growth firm. Familiarity with M&A processes is highly desirable. Proven ability to handle confidential information with the highest degree of discretion and integrity, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of service and response. Exceptional organization and time-management skills. Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication abilities. Each day is a little bit different as an intern, so if you value variety in your day, Frazier & Deeter is for you! Your internship may include, but will not be limited to, the following: TAX In depth training on the processes, procedures, and technology used on a daily basis A collaborative work environment that allows you direct access to professionals from every level with diverse skillsets and areas of expertise The opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and/or S Corporations Networking events designed to help you build relationships with your F&D family AUDIT Working with seniors and managers on a variety of client engagements from various industries, often times acting as the associate on the engagement Gaining testing experience in many sections of the audit, including planning procedures, various balance sheet and income statement testing areas, and reporting procedures Working on ad-hoc projects for the department as they arise Traveling to client sites and gaining hands-on experience Building relationships with team members and clients Reviewing feedback with your seniors and managers to continue to improve your work Reaching out to your Intern Buddy to get some advice over lunch Networking with FD staff and fellow interns at firm social events Asking questions and growing professionally to best prepare yourself for a career in public accounting What skills do I need?
