The Document Control (DC) Specialist I is responsible for review and implementation of SOPs, reports, labels, forms, and protocols in support of the CTP Department. Please note that this is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position, working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm onsite at the South Lake Union location. Responsibilities Performs technical writing and clerical/general departmental support for the preparation/revision of standard operating procedures (SOP) and other controlled documents. Maintain master files for controlled documents. Coordinate and perform document processing activities such as tracking status, initiating document revisions, issuing/distributing for approval and employee review and assuring implementation of documents. Maintain all paper systems according to cGTP regulatory and FACT accreditation requirements including the distribution and reconciliation of controlled documents. Coordinate biannual review process for SOPs, Batch Records, and Batch Record Worksheets. Perform quality control checks of paper and electronic files. Purchase office supplies for CTP Quality group and performs inventory control. Performs other related duties as needed. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 0-2 years of progressively complex administrative experience or equivalent. Attention to detail, with an ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in various types of documents. Strong computer, math and word processing skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Extensive experience with PC based Microsoft Office applications, database software, and scanning systems. Ability to create and revise complex technical documents. Must be flexible, willing and able to work in team-based environment. Ability to prioritize among multiple projects and maintain deadlines. Preferred: Associate's Degree or equivalent related work experience. One or more years of experience in the biotechnology or medical / pharmaceutical field. Knowledge of cGXP regulations and principles. The hourly pay range for this position is from $35.09 to $52.63 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. A Staff Scientist position in the Nelson, Haffner, Li and Ha research groups located in the Human Biology Division and Computational Biology Program is available immediately. We have established a research team working with interdisciplinary collaborators who have expertise in genomics, genetics, pathology, experimental therapeutics, cancer biology, and clinical cancer research. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in applying bench laboratory experimentation and computational and analytical approaches to the study genomics and epigenetics of cancer. The specific focus for this position involves developing assays using ct DNA/cf DNA in cancer diagnostics. Candidates who are excited about driving projects and participating in teams that develop and apply technologies for interrogating cancer genotypes and phenotypes through bioinformatics, data science, genomics, spatial biology and drug development are encouraged to apply. The position has a competitive salary with excellent benefits. Responsibilities The research projects and responsibilities for this Staff Scientist position include: Conduct research independently as well as contribute to research being done by other team members. Assist in project development, design, and management Participate in the training of undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral scientists. Lead mining and integration of large-scale multi-omic datasets (WGS, methylation, chromatin, cf DNA) to identify quantitative biomarkers for ct DNA detection and tumor characterization. Develop, refine, and benchmark computational pipelines for biomarker selection using statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning approaches. Build robust cloud-based workflows and scalable pipelines for large-scale genomic data processing. Innovate and evaluate new metrics for ct DNA quantification (e.g., methylation-based signals, fragmentation, gene expression inference). Design and optimize ct DNA assays using low-cost molecular platforms such as low-pass WGS, EM-seq, targeted sequencing, dd PCR and others. Translate computational biomarkers into practical assays via targeted primer/panel design, reaction optimization, and QC framework development. Conduct analytical validation studies including LOD determination, precision, reproducibility, and specificity. Contribute to development of prognostic biomarkers for clinical applications. Collaborate with CLIA/CAP laboratory teams to integrate assay workflows into clinical pipelines, including documentation for LDT deployment. Support translational studies in collaboration with clinicians and academic/industry partners (e.g., tumor detection, subtyping, therapeutic stratification). Lead validation efforts on real-world biospecimens such as plasma. Manage centralized amendment processing activities on behalf of study teams to ensure continuity with institutional goals, best practices, and standards in support of larger CRS strategic initiatives to increase quality, compliance and reduce amendment processing times. Create and amend comprehensive clinical trial budgets and manage budget negotiations with industry pharmaceutical sponsors on behalf of research groups in alignment with CRS standards. The Bioinformatics Analyst I will provide advanced analytical support for translational and mechanistic studies focused on cancer initiation, progression, and the tumor microenvironment. The position centers on the analysis and integration of spatial multi-omics datasets, particularly those generated using 10x Genomics Xenium in situ transcriptomics and Akoya PhenoCycler-Fusion multiplex proteomics platforms, as well as single cell/single nuclei RNA-seq. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and applying computational workflows to extract biological insight from large-scale, high-dimensional datasets at single-cell resolution. Working closely with research staff, postdoctoral fellows, and the principal investigators, the Analyst will help design analytical strategies, interpret findings in biological context, and generate data visualizations and figures for publications and grant applications. This is an opportunity to contribute to a multidisciplinary research environment that integrates molecular biology, spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and computational modeling to understand the role of tissue microenvironment in cancer initiation and progression.
