By 1958, Conway Borough had joined the Freedom Area Joint Schools.
The newly formed district had designed a new Junior-Senior High School and had it under construction in New Sewickley Township near Freedom, by 1959.
Doctor J. Richard Fruth resigned in 1961 to accept the position of Assistant Superintendent of Beaver County Schools.
Some three years later, in 1964 a new wing was added with 11 additional classrooms, to accommodate an expanded curriculum and student base, as the district continued to grow.
In 1967, 246 firms listed in the Industrial Directory manufactured glass, tile, brick, ceramics, electric products, roofing, lumber, chemicals, electrical machinery, and consumers' goods of various kinds.
Beaver County, mainly an industrial and urban community, had a population of approximately 204,000 in 1980.
