About the role

To support our continued expansion, we're seeking professional freelance translators to help us achieve linguistic excellence with the highest quality of localized content prior to delivery to global distributors. With the expansion of global audiences, the linguistic quality of media assets is one of the primary needs of our clients. This position will be key in helping us to build next generation localization workflows to offer premium content localization services.

In addition to being quality and detail oriented, the ideal candidate will be a language enthusiast with a passion for globalizing entertainment content with an appreciation for the importance of regional and cultural differences.


The main tasks will revolve around translating/QC-ing/proofreading subtitle files using a template and cloud based subtitling software for features, episodic TV series, or bonus content. Utilize glossary tool for consistency across product as well as follow client style guide specifications.

Requirements

  • Film/Broadcast translation and/or proofreading experience required.
  • Knowledge of professional subtitling software highly desirable.
  • Excellent reading skills, spelling/vocabulary and grammar.
  • Native English speaker or full bilingual proficiency (both source and target language).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to accomplish work on a rigorous schedule (on time delivery).
  • Ability to follow technical/style guide for multiple client content types.
  • Must have own computer with good internet connection.
