Responsibilities

  • Oversee digital e-commerce video capture / editing for all product categories across multiple formats including digital e-commerce including 360, fly-over & on-figure videos
  • Execute asset creation for seasonal wholesale market needs inclusive of 360 videos & on-figure.
  • Maintain video standards across lighting, composition, color accuracy, and exposure ensuring category consistency in accordance with the brand guidelines.
  • Provide creative & technical suggestions to elevate the quality of the video being captured and optimize efficiency where applicable.
  • Oversee talent/model direction on-set and collaborate with core video team including Online Creative Director and Stylist.
  • Partner closely with Studio Manager to ensure best practices are met and daily workflows are maintained in accordance with pre-determined shot plan.
  • Support with ad-hoc projects as necessary including video for employee training, brand messages and collateral, social media shoots & interviews etc.
  • Stay informed about the current state of and future advances in video production technology and recommend new hardware and software technologies based on analysis of brand needs.
  • Create edits and implement notes from creative team leads, while ensuring high-caliber video, lighting, color correction and sound quality in accordance with the brand video guidelines.
  • Understand and oversee video codecs, raw video files, exporting, transcoding and compression techniques, ensuring the correct delivery of assets at required aspect ratio, specifications, and placement.
  • Manage all file and versioning workflow to ensure best practices are met and daily workflows are maintained in accordance with deadlines.
  • Collaborate daily with Director of Post-Production and Project Managers on project status/video reviews. Field daily requests to review and revise videos to enforce brand quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience of high-caliber video editing focusing on jewelry, fashion, or luxury goods required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Exceptional visual understanding and ability to color balance and color correct, and to effectively articulate and implement video changes.
  • Experience with video engineering workflows.
  • Absolute proficiency in Adobe Premier, After Effects, and other editing software as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Video Retouching and Flame proficiency as plus, but not required.
  • Must be process oriented and maintain the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Frame.io experience preferred.
  • Familiarity and understanding of current and historical trends in fashion, fashion advertising, art, and photography a plus.
  • This position is based in NYC.

*About this Role*

The Videographer/Editor role requires an individual capable of being self-sufficient and disciplined in planning and executing video projects on their own while being personable and flexible when interacting with our media brands and customers.
