The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA SPECIALIST to act as a multimedia creation specialist for the office. Perform hands-on work in the production of specialized multimedia instructional products, to include educational videos and associated aids, PDFs, and/or interactive computer-based activities for distance education and/or other educational formats. Function as the primary administrator for the campus video platform. Respond to faculty requests for assistance with LMS issues with particular focus on multimedia. Provide group training on related technologies as needed. Keep current with educational technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create and edit video as needed.
* Manage the video repository (Kaltura) Advise and consult with faculty on best use of video in courses.
* Create learning objects as requested with various tools (HP5, Articulate, etc.)
* Support the OLT systems administrator in management of all systems in the unit.
* Assist in management and direction of student workers in their assigned tasks as needed
* Assist in the delivery of Teaching with Technology workshops as needed.
* Assist in maintaining institutional knowledge base on technologies, practices and programs that can be adopted and deployed to multiple domains.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
(Salary Range: $50,050 to $81,000 with an expected hiring salary of $58,718)
Bachelor's degree in media, instructional media, computer technology and three (3) years of related experience required. Master's degree preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Intermediate to advanced skills in video production. Basic HTML/CSS skills. Knowledge of principles of pedagogy a plus.

As a Graphic Design Intern, you will help bring Mud Monsters games to life visually. You will design graphics that fans actually see and remember and support live production elements that shape the in-ballpark experience.
This is a seasonal internship that runs for the duration of the baseball season.
What You'll Do
Design graphic projects for in-stadium promotions, social media, website, email, and more.
Update and manage video board graphics on a daily basis.
Assist in developing billboard creative and advertising campaigns.

Conduct the annual inventory of media center materials and the reparation of missing materials and materials to be discarded

Maintain correct inventory of supplies and suggest items for acquisition as needed
Establish efficient procedures for the processing of requests for materials and for the maintenance of equipment
Assume responsibility for inventory and maintenance of instructional materials and audiovisual equipment
Conduct a continuous evaluation of materials and equipment so that purchases may be made on an increasingly selective basis
