Description
A hands-on learning experience for individuals who have completed a classroom based electrical apprenticeship program. This program includes a combination of minimal classroom courses focused on Freeport-McMoRan policies and procedures and on-the-job training designed to develop selected candidates into highly skilled and professional trade employees. Successful candidates are responsible for hands-on learning and performing electrical maintenance/operations activities with minimal to moderate supervision, or supports journeymen in their electrical maintenance activities.
* Perform basic electrical maintenance activities
* Perform safe operation of maintenance mobile equipment such as forklifts, stinger trucks and overhead and mobile cranes
* Perform work area and equipment safety inspections
* Attend required classroom training sessions as necessary

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Completion of, or graduation from one of the following:
* A structured electrical apprenticeship program
* A certified electrical training institute; OR
* Completion of a Joint Technical Education District (JTED) program

* Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. What You Will Do

What You Will Do
* Operate heavy equipment in support of production including de-watering, materials delivery, maintaining berms, and surface maintenance at a skilled level.

Highly skilled mechanic who safely perform diagnostic, maintenance, installation and repair of crush and conveying equipment and related systems.
* Performs system troubleshooting, maintenance and component removal, repair and installation of jaw and gyratory crushers, vibratory screens, conveyors, dust suppression/collection systems, mobile conveying systems ext.

The goal of the Reliability Centered Maintenance Group is to achieve higher equipment availability and lower maintenance costs through predictive maintenance technologies. The Autonomous Mining System Coordinator is responsible for implementing the mine model for MineStar Command for Hauling, while providing effective support to other personnel, including the Autonomous Mining Controls Specialist and Autonomous Mining Pit Technicians. The Autonomous Mining System Coordinator will work to manage the mine model, review system operations, ensure data quality, troubleshoot, and maintaining onboard files.
* Ensures accurate completion of documentation and data entry where necessary. Troubleshoots assignments, communications issues and escalates issues that cannot be resolved. Monitors operations/processes and system performance to ensure key performance indicators are met.
* Prioritize work to meet shift objectives. Follow specific operating procedures. Complete and validate shift reports, shift handover and document all issues requiring follow up.
* Ensure prompt communication with affected parties when plans or decisions are modified. Ensure communication with peers, supervision and other employees contribute to safe and collaborative working relationships. Communicate with team members and contractors to ensure all necessary information is provided. Under moderate supervision, provides project controls support to Engineering and Construction in cost and schedule analysis, reporting, and general project controls support as directed by the Project Controls Manager. This may include but is not limited to the preparation, analysis and presentation of reports, charts, tables and information along with analysis of trends, project risks and forecasts.
* Validates the reported progress percentage based on the rules of credit established within the project with the contractors through spot checks of the design documents and/or construction progress
* Develops progress measurement process for required scopes of work and update on a regular basis
* Reviews contractor schedules for accuracy and alignment with the overall master schedule
* Reviews project documents, including design sets, to determine project milestones and sequencing and validate that the construction schedules comply with the project documents
* Assists in processing of project change notices, maintain change logs as required and report on changes through Freeport's Change Management System
* Assists in compilation of all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the project
* Based on design reviews, identifies any out of scope changes and documents quantity variances based on material take offs (MTOs) from design documents
* Utilizes Engineering knowledge and experience to review and process Engineering submittals, and track the progress of the same and coordinate submittal and reviews with the Project Manager, project team members and any other stakeholders as directed by his/her Supervisor

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Associate's Degree in Environmental Science or closely related area (can substitute an additional 5 years of experience in mining or mineral processing operations for the degree requirement) and
* Fifteen (15) years experience in environmental monitoring, sampling and reporting as an Environmental Technician , Specialist or in a closely related role
* Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required or preferred: HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS auditor, Asbestos, Water Treatment Operator, and CHMM

* Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
* Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
* Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
* Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
* Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to thirty (30) pounds during the course of the workday
* Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
* Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $110,000-$155,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration. Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
