Description A hands-on learning experience for individuals who have completed a classroom based electrical apprenticeship program. This program includes a combination of minimal classroom courses focused on Freeport-McMoRan policies and procedures and on-the-job training designed to develop selected candidates into highly skilled and professional trade employees. Successful candidates are responsible for hands-on learning and performing electrical maintenance/operations activities with minimal to moderate supervision, or supports journeymen in their electrical maintenance activities. * Perform basic electrical maintenance activities * Perform safe operation of maintenance mobile equipment such as forklifts, stinger trucks and overhead and mobile cranes * Perform work area and equipment safety inspections * Attend required classroom training sessions as necessary * Perform other duties as required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Completion of, or graduation from one of the following: * A structured electrical apprenticeship program * A certified electrical training institute; OR * Completion of a Joint Technical Education District (JTED) program * Basic electrical maintenance principles * Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. Description Under moderate supervision, provides project controls support to Engineering and Construction in cost and schedule analysis, reporting, and general project controls support as directed by the Project Controls Manager.
