The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving new and returned product as it enters the building; ensuring product is in saleable condition that is ready for resale and controlling the inbound flow of the dock.

What you'll do as a Warehouse Receiver:
* Examine condition of product as it arrives from various carriers.
* Document overages / shorts / damages, expiration dates, product temperature, trailer condition, evidence of pest infestation or product tampering.
* Direct outside carriers and contract unloaders on how to sort and segregate product.
* Follow and maintain product integrity as required by McLane Company standards.
* Print pallet labels, enter purchase orders into computer and assign doors.
* Cover for Receiving Clerk as needed.
* Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
* Continually meet assigned production standards.
* Maintain a quality of work that limits mispicks, shorts and damages.
* Follow directions.

SUMMARY
General knowledge of United States Postal Services (USPS) directives pertaining to Automation Compatible Mail, general operating knowledge of the Multiline Optical Character Reader (MLOCR) mail sorter/bar coding machine; and ability to maintain attention to detail to meet quality assurance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Removes mail pieces from MLOCR sorting bins, verifies bar code integrity, Zip Code sort accuracy, proper dates and trays or bundles processed pieces.
· Prepares tray labels in accordance with USPS destination/distribution listing and conducts self-inspection to validate piece counts.
· Loads mail trays onto non-motorized carriers, verifies total tray counts, secures and placards carriers and otherwise coordinates the loading of processed mail for shipment to the USPS acceptance facility.
· Hand sorts mail pieces which are not compatible for automatic processing; assist supervisory personnel in maintaining required inventories of supplies, equipment and other processing materials.
· Responsible for compliance with company personnel and safety policies and informs supervisory personnel of deficiencies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Verify that the product is shipped to the correct customer per their specifications.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
This position will pay $20-$22 per hour depending on your experience level.
