Essential Functions: An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Organize warehouse through removing and stacking empty pallets. Fulfill store orders through pulling merchandise through layer using electronic voice control equipment, stacking onto pallets, placing labels in appropriate area on freight, and transporting using power equipment. Maintain freight integrity through inspecting freight for damage and mis-placement (i.e. "strays") monitoring temperature and integrity of food items by separating freight using plastic sheets, (e.g. species, chemical), and maintaining records, logs and forms.

Physical Activities: The following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position. Moves up and down stairs. Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Reads information, often in small print. Visually locates merchandise and other objects. Visually inspects equipment. Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Observe behavior of others (i.e., associates, customers, suppliers). Stand for extended periods of time. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, which could include, but not be limited to fall protection, eye protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection, chemical protection and electrical protection such as protective footwear. Operate motor vehicle or other large power equipment. Use approved equipment to step up and access freight and equipment in elevated areas. Walk within work area for extended periods of time. Enter and locate information on a computer or system communication device. Differentiate sounds in order to inspect and maintain equipment, identify potential hazards, or recognize safety alarms. Lift, push, pull, and carry tools, objects or equipment above shoulder level without assistance. Write documents, reports, etc. using a writing instrument (e.g., pencil, pen) or computer. Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds without assistance. Communicates effectively in person and by using telecommunications equipment or electronic voice control equipment

Work Environment: Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.

* May work with substances that require special handling Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.

* Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

* Work overnight, weekends, and varying shifts.

* Works at heights.

Monday - Friday 3am start $18.00/hr plus+ ($1.00 shift premium)

Summary

Perform various shipping and receiving functions: load and unload trucks, check and sort product. Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Set-up and unload incoming shipments from trucks; check in mill receipts.

• Segregate and sort receipts by style and color.

• Breakdown and repack boxes.

• Scan shipping labels and check weights.

• Load UPS trailers with customer orders that have been packaged and forwarded to the truck via conveyor, conforming to standards and maximizing space.

• Assist in preparing truck orders for shipment; shrink wrap pallets as needed.

• Perform housekeeping duties.

• Serve as a member of the Distribution Center team, providing assistance as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Basic reading and math skills.

• Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 70 pounds).

• Demonstrated attention to detail.

• Ability to operate manual equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks).

• Ability to operate scanner, tape machine, and in-line weight scale.

• Demonstrated flexibility with work schedule; ability to work overtime to meet business demands.

Previous positions that are necessary background experience to qualify for this position.

• Own air growth in the Americas by leading a team of regional Trade Lane Managers and Pricing Analysts to drive business development throughout the region.
• Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business, tracking metrics such as conversion and take rate.
• Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments, working closely with the Global Air team on tech requirements and enablement.
• Develop a US Export procurement strategy by negotiating contracts, fixed allocations and potentially BSA's, monitoring utilization of capacity.
• Administer quality management with US Export carriers driving on-time performance and milestone timeliness.
• Own take rate by managing air freight cost and pricing inputs. You are empowered to drive yields by leveraging the right carriers, routings and consolidation strategies.
• Be the executive-level POC for all North American airline relationships. You will be the face of Flexport Air in the Americas region and represent us at industry events and conferences.
• Provide commercial support to our largest global accounts, acting as an executive sponsor
• Partner with our sales organization on global, strategic RFQ's by providing pricing strategy and commercial support. Work directly with decision makers to help close our largest air deals.

You should have:

• Greater than 10 years of previous leadership experience in Freight Forwarding managing a procurement team, and/or ownership of air freight P&L
• Innovative thinker and willingness to challenge the status quo
• Extensive experience working with airlines in the Americas region with access to airline senior management
• Strong analytical background and mastery of analytical tools (Excel, etc…)
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment
• Highly adaptable to change
• Very structured with high level of energy
• Able to be both a strategic thinker but also willing to roll up your sleeves and get highly tactical if necessary
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• An obsession with client happiness. You succeed when they succeed
