SUMMARY: To safely operate a variety of power-driven golf course maintenance equipment to achieve course grooming to standards established by management. To uphold and assure compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check machinery before using and before storing it in the maintenance building.
Operate small equipment such as weedeaters, edgers, blowers, etc.
Operate golf carts, mowers, and other machines necessary for golf course maintenance.
Thoroughly cleans each piece of equipment after use ensuring that all trash, grass clippings have been washed off to prevent corrosion or harmful buildup of debris.
Report any malfunction to the mechanic or supervisor immediately.
Report any physical damage to equipment or turf to the supervisor and/or mechanic so the damage can be repaired.
Rake bunkers, pick up debris and pulls weeds.
Change the water, soap, and towel for each ball washer.
Move the markers and cups when necessary.
Replace the flag on the pin when necessary.
Report any insect or animal damage to the supervisor.
Observe and follow all requirements for the safe operation of equipment including the use of prescribed personal protective equipment.
Pick up trash, windfalls or anything that would be out of place affecting the appearance or liability of the golf courses.
Follows all instructions pertaining to the golf course maintenance operation assigned by the supervisor.
Report any problems to Director or Superintendent.
Adheres to Frenchman's Creek safety standards as well as the Frenchman's Creek appearance standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality, concierge, or front desk role in a luxury or high-end environment preferred but not required.

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supervises housekeeping personnel across all club areas, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld in the locker rooms, employee dining room, offices, special event spaces, and all member areas of the Clubhouse. This role supports daily operations, manages inventory, and acts as the decision-maker in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Compliance
Ensure all housekeeping staff are properly uniformed and groomed per club standards.
Enforce safety procedures and report any violations to the Housekeeping Manager.
Accurately report work-related injuries and disciplinary issues using HR protocols.
Monitor and ensure completion of duty checklists with thoroughness and excellence.
Provide direction and support to staff during daily operations and club activities.
Cleanliness & Standards
Inspect and maintain cleanliness of all clubhouse areas to meet Frenchman's Creek standards.
Ensure housekeeping storage areas are organized and compliant with cleanliness standards.
Inventory Management
Oversee daily inventory tracking and monthly inventory counts.
Maintain adequate supply levels and place timely orders for housekeeping materials.
Communication & Coordination
Stay informed of all club activities scheduled within the next 10 days.
Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings.
Collect and submit completed duty checklists to the Housekeeping Manager at the end of each shift.
Maintenance & Reporting
Promptly report maintenance issues using CMMS (Maintain X) and follow up to ensure resolution.
Additional Duties
Support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations.
Perform other tasks as assigned to ensure smooth departmental functioning.
Qualifications
Prior experience in housekeeping or a related field; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Familiarity with inventory systems and safety/sanitation protocols.
