Neuro/Ortho/Peds
NOP is a 24-bed specialty med/surg unit. This unit sees a variety of neuro and ortho patients for scheduled procedures and trauma events as well as pediatric patients and is focused on providing quality acute care while promoting safety. The team is experienced and supportive of each other and often complimented by patients for their collaborative teamwork.
How you will contribute
A Clinical Manager (RN) who excels in this role:
Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversee proper working order and/or stock supplies.
Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

What we are looking for
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).

Pediatric Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (PACLS) (within 1 year)
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (within 1 year)

Key Responsibilities
Provides professional and effective practice management of all assigned practices.
In partnership with their Corporate Director, responsible for developing the annual budget for all assigned practices.
Responsible for developing and implementing plans that yield high levels of provider, caregiver, and patient satisfaction. Responsible for regularly communicating plans as well as the actions being taken when targets and goals are not being met.
In association with the Corporate Director, ensures clear performance targets are in place and communicated to all non-provider caregivers and providers with respect to volume, quality, and service. Implements plans for improvement when not meeting expected targets. Involves and communicates with Clinical Leaders around these activities to ensure strong alignment between clinical and operational leadership.
Responsible for tracking and communicating wRVU and volume productivity for all assigned providers. Ensures productivity reports are distributed and meets regularly with providers to share progress, celebrate success, address concerns, and develop plans for improvement, when necessary. Involves and communicates with Clinical Leader around these activities to ensure strong alignment between clinical and operational leadership.

This position will provide scientific and clinical direction to the HLA clinical laboratory as part of the greater transplant team serving multiple locations statewide for the oldest, most established transplant hospitals in all of Arizona. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing scientific and clinical direction to the HLA clinical laboratory and reports to a designated member of the SQL/LSA senior leadership team and a Medical Director. This position is responsible for oversight of all licensed and unlicensed personnel in the HLA department and serves as a mentor and assists in the development of HLA Director in Training (DIT) candidates per ACHI. Responsible for providing technical interpretation of results, providing consultations with physicians, overseeing research projects, implementing new assays/assay troubleshooting, quality assurance, and reviewing SOPs. Assumes Clinical Consultant responsibilities and participates on site and system-level committees as assigned/required. This position will hold a faculty appointment with the University of Arizona Department of Pathology.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
Two (2) years appropriate specialty experience.
Board certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) in the following areas of accreditation:
Solid Organ Transplantation: Live Donor
Solid Organ Transplantation: Deceased Donor
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Related Donor
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Unrelated Donor

Oversees the completion and approval of all clinical utilization documentation, including Start of Care, Re-certification, Resumption of Care, Follow up (SCIC), Transfer, Discharge OASIS, and Evaluation visits. • Reviews and approves evaluation documentation, OASIS and Patient Plan of Care. Assures consistency with the comprehensive assessment and the patient plan of care. Reviews data submitted from the field staff to ensure accuracy and follows up on any documentation that requires correction.• Ensures that service utilization correlates with assessment data and is aligned with the suggested visit and other utilization to support effective and efficient outcomes.• Processes OASIS and Patient Plan of Care; verifies the correct start of care date and episode date range. Follows up on OASIS Assessments that cannot be processed due to document deficiencies. Addresses such deficiencies with clinician. Identifies and escalates trends with leadership.• Processes any unlisted supplies, medications, activity, functional limitations, allergies, etc. that appear on the action screen to assure completion of the Patient Plan of Care.• Ensures that appropriate Care Types are selected based on client's medical condition and staffs' assessment data.• Reviews and processes ROC and Discharge Assessment Data to ensure accuracy; follows up on any documentation that requires correction.• Ensures patient's plan of care is completed and reassessed by the appropriate health care professional when there is a significant health status change in the patient's condition, at the physician's request and after hospital discharge. Ensures appropriate documentation is completed for all patients transferred to an inpatient facility.• Educates clinicians to follow best practices in documentation and OASIS completion. Identifies areas of concern and works with Education resources to revise courses as needed.• Develops, assigns and completes training activities in conjunction with other departments (Education, Quality, etc.), based on individual clinicians' learning needs and capabilities. Provides direction to staff via telephone in response to any situations arising in the field with regard to documentation.• Provides coaching, education, performance evaluation assessments, co-visits and counseling and discipline, as needed, to clinicians regarding job performance. Maintains complete and timely documentation of performance management activity and clinician progress. Position Highlights:
Salary $112,589-$174,514 DOE.
$11,000.00 in bonuses:
At Hire: $3,300.00
At 6 months: $4,400.00
At 12 months: $3,300.00

What You'll Do:
Manages two or more service line clinics/stores (medical, dental, pharmacy), with 45 to 100 FTEs, 25,000 to 65,000 encounters, and an expense budget of $7-16 million.
Supervises, mentors and trains direct report staff. Provides continuous performance management and conducts employee performance evaluations. Addresses performance and/or behavior issues, clarifying expectations and providing feedback.
Supports staff growth and development. Assesses the educational and experience needs of all levels of staff in collaboration with the individual. Encourages staff to seek educational opportunities incorporating job related training in addition to mandatory training.
Responsible for the recruitment and selection of staff, Providers, and Dentists. Provides orientation to outline job requirements and expectations, policies and procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Builds and maintains a positive, collaborative & inclusive work environment that values a range of perspectives and approaches. Demonstrates strong leadership in hiring, managing, and retaining high-performing team members from our local communities. Fosters a culture of employee engagement and continuous improvement.
Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Medical and Dental Providers and Pharmacy staff.
Supervises and mentors front office supervisors, nurse supervisors, dental supervisors, pharmacy managers, maintenance supervisors, and administrative assistants. May also supervise clinic managers and administrative services managers on fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, resource utilization, staffing patterns and team effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsible for overall clinical operations that optimize best practices of the patient centered medical home.
Responsible for promoting high standards of practice management through utilizations of standardized polices, protocols and guidelines.
Responsible for the management of health plan quality metrics as set forth by the organization's goals and strategic plans.
Manages the implementation of all YVFWC initiatives, policies and procedures as they pertain to FQHC Program Requirements and Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy Operations.
Responsible for the patient experience in all service lines at site(s) and achieving organizational goals for Patient Satisfaction.
Develops an annual encounter budget for all applicable service lines and is responsible for the achievement of the budget.
Responsible for achieving enrollment standards, patient quality metrics; patient access; and appropriate ED utilization as required by managed care organizations.
Manages all workflows at the site, including the clinic billing process for all applicable service lines within the site.
Exemplifies excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, and other employees. Addresses all patient complaints. Holds staff accountable for conformity to customer service policy and patient satisfaction.
Partners with local healthcare leaders to develop a coordinated delivery system within the communities serviced by the clinic(s).
Develops and maintains ties and/or networks in the local community for promoting the mission of YVFWC.
Recommends the establishment, expansion, modification or elimination of services, based on an understanding of community need, organizational capability and financial viability.
Contributes to the creation of the site(s) financial budget and manages variances for all controllable budget line items.
Develops and drives operational improvement and change management initiatives within the clinic(s). Leads the site leadership team in continuous improvement practices.
Ensures operational compliance with Joint Commission, Meaningful Use, NCQA, UDS and local and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field AND at least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment, OR
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or related field AND at least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of Oregon State Basic Health Plans.
Knowledge of Community and Migrant Health Centers and primary healthcare services.
Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and communicate effectively.
Proficient with Epic or other patient information system, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of medical and/or dental office operations preferred.
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Director, You'll Achieve Success By:
Clinic Management from Front Office to Clinical Operations
Monitoring and Management of KPIs or OKRs
Strategic Plan Implementation for Clinical Growth, Hiring, and Retention
Reviewing patient medical history
Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
Developing individualized treatment plans for patients
Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan
Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on manual therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
