**PURPOSE AND SCOPE:** The Field Service Technician performs client-site installation, service and maintenance on company manufactured and/or distributed equipment within the assigned regional area(s). The incumbent provides technical support in the diagnosis of operational and/or technical issues of applicable equipment. Collects missing pre-admission information from hospital discharge planners and reviews it with clinic social worker and nurse manager. Obtains prospective new patients' insurance coverage information; faxes or scans and emails insurance information to corporate billers for verification. Promptly notifies social worker and nurse manager about insurance verification from corporate billers. Confirms with nurse manager or charge nurse a new patient's schedule and appointment time. When patients are accepted for admission, informs hospital personnel of the date of the first outpatient dialysis, what time a patient should arrive for consent review prior to the first treatment and the need for patients to have transportation to DCI pre-arranged for the first treatment. Assists other clerical support staff, as needed. The Database Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining database software to meet functional, performance, and availability goals. Dialysis Treatment: + Provides safe and effective delivery of care to patients with ESRD. + Accurately implements treatment prescriptions including Sodium (Na) modeling prescription, and Ultrafiltration modeling (where appropriate) to ensure stable treatment therapy as indicated. + Assesses patients' response to hemodialysis treatment therapy, making appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated by the prescribing physician. Communicates problems or concerns to the Team Leader or physician. + Identifies and communicates patient related issues to Team Leader or physician. + Initiates Initial and Annual Nursing Assessment, and ongoing evaluation and documentation of patient care needs according to FMC Policies and Procedures. + Actively participates in the pre evaluation, initiation, monitoring, termination, access homeostasis, and post evaluation of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment therapy according to established FMC procedures. + Takes appropriate intervention for changes in patient adequacy status and troubleshooting access flow issues as identified by OLC/AMP yellow lights. + Provides, supervises (if applicable), and monitors hemodialysis access care according to established procedures. + Implements, administers, monitors, and documents patient's response to prescribed interdialytic transfusions, including appropriate notification of adverse reactions to physician and appropriate blood supplier. + Ensures accurate and complete documentation by Patient Care Technician on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet. Laboratory-related: + Reviews, transcribes, and enters physician lab orders accurately into the Medical Information System. + Ensures appropriate preparation of lab requisitions for Spectra or alternate lab. + Ensures correct labs tubes are utilized for prescribed lab specimens and that lab draw and processing procedures are performed appropriately for all lab samples. + Identifies and ensures appropriate follow-through regarding missed labs and specimens reported to be insufficient according to company policies and procedures. + Ensures all specimens are appropriately packaged according to Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and procedures relating to shipment of blood or body fluid specimens and potentially hazardous material. + Ensures that all labs are directed and delivered to appropriate labs. + Reports alert/panic and abnormal labs results to appropriate physician. + Ensures lab results are forwarded to physicians as requested. Other duties and tasks may be assigned. * Perform in an independent capacity and set a strong example for other database developers. * Responsible for the development and management of Enterprise Data Warehouse / Data Lake processes and policies, following strategic direction on best practices for holistic Data Architecture. * Design, develop, and implement MS SQL Server SSIS ETL jobs to effectively process high-volume data sources and meet nightly processing windows. * Conduct analysis and design of data models for the development and maintenance of existing enterprise systems. * Monitors industry trends and directions and develops and presents substantive technical recommendations to management. * Work with users to define, implement and automate data warehouse requirements based on Microsoft SQL BI Stack. * Build data structures, functions and views for source data integration, data management, and consumption by other systems * Ability to communicate data modeling and process flow concepts, while tailoring solutions to business requirements * Ability to interpret business logic and develop appropriate dataflows and data dependencies * Understand and design system integration as required for extracting data for reporting purposes * Ability to work with and communicate with a team of Developers/Analysts and non-technical Business Stakeholders. * Design databases and ensure stability, reliability, and performance. * Develop, test, and maintain Microsoft SQL database objects for USRC software. * Refactor existing database objects to support enhancements of system control, diagnostic and other research subject areas. * Investigate and support new technology initiatives to improve or enhance current database capabilities. * Prepare documentations for database applications and ETL processing. * Learn new applicable programming techniques as needed. * Work with other database personnel, front end programmers and customer support as needed. * Be available, as needed, should critical software issues arise. * Write documentation and SOPs for future use. Qualifications/Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include: * 5+ years of experience working with data in a healthcare related field - Clinical and Billing a plus * 5+ years of experience writing reports against Microsoft SQL Server databases. * 2+ years of experience with a source control system (e.g., GIT, SVN, TFS, etc.) * Strong knowledge and experience writing T-SQL queries and Stored Procedures (i.e., correlated sub queries, inline SQL....) * Experience with * SSIS, * SSRS, * Tableau and other visualization tools, * Creating and managing ETL processes * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, Business, or equivalent experience, preferred * Strong ability to quickly understand complicated and highly normalized databases and reporting structures * Critical thinking and analytical skills
