**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
CLINIC OPERATIONS:
+ Manages the operations of the clinic, including costs, processes, staffing, and quality standards.
+ Provides leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
+ Partners with internal Human Resources, Quality, and Technical Services departments.
+ Collaborates with the Home Therapies Manager to oversee the facility's Home Therapies Program.
+ Maintains integrity of medical and operations records and complies with all data collections and auditing activities.
+ Manages clinic financials including efficient utilization of supplies or equipment and regular profits and loss review.
+ Responsible for all required network reporting and on-site state or federal surveys.
+ Coordinates inventory/supply management by reviewing monthly inventory count and approving purchase orders for necessary items to ensure cost containment, timely distribution, and competitive pricing.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
PATIENT CARE:
+ Collaborates closely with the Charge RN, the Medical Director, and physicians regarding the direct patient care responsibilities within the facility.
+ Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge of the patient.
+ Monitors patient and family education regarding access care including medical instructions.
+ Acts as a resource for the patient and family to address concerns and questions and reviews patient satisfaction surveys.
STAFF:
+ Participates in the selection and hiring of new team members and ensures completion of new hiring orientation and mandatory trainings.
+ Responsible for all patient care employees completing appropriate training courses and that licensures and certifications are current.
+ Provides support for all clinical staff members at regular intervals and encourages professional growth.
+ Maintains current knowledge regarding company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
+ Completes employee evaluations and establishes annual goals.
+ Documents any disciplinary actions and confers with the clinic Director of Operations and Human Resources when needed.
+ Manages staff scheduling and payroll.
PHYSICIANS:
+ Facilitates the application process for physician privileges and compliance with Fresenius Medical Care Medical Staff By-Laws.
+ Responsible for strong physician relationships and ensures regular and effective communication.
+ Participates in Governing Body, an interdisciplinary team for each region including MSWs, Dietitians, MDs, DOs etc. that governs policies.
**EDUCATION**
+ Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
**EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:**
+ 4+ years of business operations experience in a healthcare facility.

+ Ensures competency of staff in the operation of all home dialysis therapy-related equipment, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems with the patient via telephone, maintaining appropriate staff licensures and CPR certifications.

How you will change lives
As a PatientCare Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients. The PCT will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) for patients with renal failure.
What you'll be doing
Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
What we're looking for
High school graduate or equivalent.
Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Other requirements
Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.

What You Can Expect:
Assures equipment maintenance and repair is completed according to the manufacturer guidelines, AAMI standards and DCI guidelines. This includes the water treatment system, dialysis machines, reuse equipment and other equipment used in providing dialysis.
Accountable for the training of all technical staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Documents such training.
Accountable for maintaining proper inventory, following DCI inventory guidelines.
Assures technical staff are performing according to the facility policies and procedures.
Coordinates and documents routine staff meetings with technical staff.
Assures the technical area is clean and free of trash and clutter.
Assures the physical plant is in good repair. Coordinates outside services as needed.
Performs air quality testing according to clinic policy.
Keeps up-to-date on OSHA standards and other standards. Implements and monitors compliance with standards to provide a safe workplace.
Provides staff education in technical areas.
Participates in on-call duties and is available in emergencies when indicated.
Actively encourages and is an example of open communication between physicians, staff and Area Operations Director.
