**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The **Forklift Operator** receives, stores, picks and dispenses raw materials and/or finished products. Coordinates timely accurate flow of materials from warehouse inventory to work-in-process/production areas. Coordinates timely accurate flow of finished products to support shipments to customers and other destinations. Responsible for loading and unloading of material with the use of a forklift.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
+ Safely operate a forklift and able to efficiently use the Cambar (warehouse management system)
+ Via use of Cambar radio frequency inventory system, the employee stores, picks or assembles finished product for shipment.
+ Understand and properly utilize ship orders and associated Columbus Distribution Center paperwork and RF terminals for shipping/receiving finished product and returns
+ Maintain proper FIFO flow of finished products (may include operation of a forklift truck with a push-pull attachment)
+ Store, pick or assemble finished product for shipment using the Cambar radio frequency inventory system
+ Check materials against packaging lists, invoices, freight bills or other pertinent documentation to assure conformity and accuracy
+ Effectively process shipments in a timely manner, using operating systems within the Columbus Distribution Center
+ Maintain proper FIFO flow of finished products (may include operation of a forklift truck with a push-pull attachment)
+ Verify the commodity number, quantity, release status and lot numbers
+ Accountable for personal safety and adhering to the safety guidelines. Must communicate safety concerns to Columbus Distribution Center leadership & follow up to assure the concerns are addressed.
+ This position is accountable for complying with applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott regulations, policies, procedures or guidelines.

Duties

Position Summary
The Warehouse & Central Supply Assistant supports daily operations of the central supply and warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing supplies to residential homes, clinical departments, and administrative areas. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to safely perform physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
Stock shelves and maintain organized storage areas.
Pick and distribute supplies to departments based on approved requests.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overstock conditions.
Rotate stock to reduce waste.
Assist with maintaining par levels and preparing supply orders.
Record inventory transactions accurately in tracking systems.
Support inventory counts and reconciliation.
Load and unload deliveries, pallets, and supply carts.
Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, and other material‑handling equipment.
Prepare outgoing shipments or returns as needed.
Respond to supply requests promptly and courteously.
Communicate shortages, backorders, or delays to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior warehouse, supply, or inventory experience preferred but not required.
Basic computer skills; ability to learn inventory software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer‑service skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment.
Work Environment
Warehouse and central supply setting with frequent movement between buildings.
Exposure to varying temperatures depending on storage areas.
Fast‑paced environment requiring accuracy and efficiency.

Starting Pay: $23.50/hour + Shift Differentials
2nd Shift (Monday - Friday; 3:00pm - 11:00pm; five 8-hour shifts)
3rd Shift (Monday Night - Thursday Night; 9:00pm - 7:00am; four 10-hour shifts)

The WarehouseWorker is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Responsibilities: Assist the Operations Manager in performing warehouse storage, shipping, and receiving of in-kind donations, purchasing products, and all other agency inventory-related task. Screens and completes facility request. Ensures that merchandise is secure and properly stored. Processes, sorts, evaluates and test donations. Ensure safety of warehouse. Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Drives and assists with product pickups as needed. Assists with facility upkeep.
Administrative Responsibilities: Communicates with facilities on status of orders.
Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Maintains appropriate staff/participant boundaries at all times. Performs periodic house runs to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the facility as needed. Assists with warehouse pick-ups. May work evening, weekends and holidays as needed.
Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good writing and verbal skills
