Principal Duties/Responsibilities: · Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools. · Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. · Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards. · May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. · Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards. · Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings. · Updates records and reviews CMMS history. · Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems. · Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. · Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development. · Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required: · High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). · Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program. · Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs. · Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate · May be required to travel. The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs plant machinery, equipment, and facility systems to keep production running. This includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance, and supporting facility upkeep. The role requires strong hands-on maintenance skills and the ability to work independently in a small, fast-paced plant. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities: (Include the following; however, other duties may apply.) Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting · Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment. · Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. · Complete mechanical repairs, adjustments, and equipment modifications as needed. · Respond to equipment failures and restore function as quickly as possible. Facility Maintenance · Maintain the interior and exterior of the facility, including plumbing, electrical systems, drywall, painting, and general repairs. · Assess and prioritize maintenance tasks across the property, addressing issues proactively. · Complete daily work schedules and maintenance work orders as assigned, ensuring timely and quality execution. Inventory Management · Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities. · Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure adequate stock levels and timely procurement of materials. Safety and Compliance · Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. · Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and lean principles. · Identify and communicate potential safety hazards or concerns to the Maintenance Manager. Operational Support · Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance needs that impact operations. · Provide technical support for facility layout improvements and new equipment installations. · Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as determined by the Maintenance Manager. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but works collaboratively with team members and contractors to ensure effective maintenance operations. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must ensure the accuracy of information and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
