1849

From patent leather and the Simmerring to sophisticated high-tech solutions, they have characterized the company since it was founded as a tannery by Carl Johann Freudenberg and a partner in 1849.

1921

GmbH in 1921 as the business grows.

1932

In 1932, Freudenberg's tradition of Innovation is established when it develops the Simmerring metal seal, a more robust, long-lasting solution for cars and other machinery.

1939

Nippon Yushi Industry Co., Ltd. launches a two-company production system with Tokyo Yushi Industry Co., Ltd. (the predecessor is Edogawa Seiki Co., Ltd. established in 1939).
