Responsibilities:
Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface.
Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
Operate the industrial floor care equipment as assigned.
Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
Clean floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweep, disinfect where and when necessary. Vacuum carpeting/rugs and spot clean. Shampoo carpets as assigned.
Refinish floors: strip, seal, put on finish and spray buff floors.
Knowledge of housekeeping equipment (rotary floor buffer and carpet cleaner, extractor, pressure cleaner). Ability to do minor repairs on vacuum cleaners and floor and carpet equipment.
Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined for the ESS Department. Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established procedures.
Move and clean furnishings and fixtures, including but not limited to dusting, spot cleaning, and washing. Disinfect when necessary and polish when required.
Clean offices, dining rooms, break rooms, laundry rooms, resident rooms, resident apartments, storage rooms, halls, stairways, entrances and exits.
Support campus-wide waste management by collecting and transporting trash and recycling from multiple designated refuse rooms.
Perform cleaning duties in isolation units.
Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents occur, including but not limited to bodily fluid clean up.
Straighten or rearrange furniture as directed.
Remove for cleaning and re-hang when clean, curtains, drapes, or dividers.

**About the job:**
The **Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)**, within the Ohio Scope of Practice, provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to chronically and acutely ill patients requiring respiratory procedures.

We are looking for a Full Time Housekeeper in our Assisted Living Unit to assist our residents with cleaning and housekeeping while establishing meaningful and lasting relationships with those who call Friendship Village home!
Available Hours:
Saturday - Wednesday 6:30am - 3:00pm OR Wednesday - Sunday 6:30am - 3:00pm

Responsibilities:
Provide 5-Star service to our lovely residents!
Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined for the ESS Department. Cleans assigned areas, furnishing and fixtures according to established procedures.
Clean floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweep, disinfect where and when necessary. Vacuum carpeting/rugs and spot clean.
Move and clean furnishings and fixtures including but not limited to dusting, spot cleaning, and washing. Disinfect when necessary and polish where required.
Clean bathrooms (private and public). Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors and walls as directed. Washes windows and mirrors. Replenishes public bathroom supplies (soap, tissue, etc.)
Clean offices, dining rooms, break rooms, laundry rooms, Health Center resident rooms, rooms, resident apartments, storage rooms, halls, stairways, entrances and exits.
Perform cleaning duties according to established procedures in resident rooms when resident has been discharged or transferred.
Empty, clean, and reline wastebaskets.
Perform cleaning duties in isolation units.
Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents occur, including but not limited to bodily fluid clean up.

Must have the ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and understand concepts of measurements.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities:
Provide 5-Star care to our amazing residents
Bathe, shave, dress and undress, care for hair, finger nails, eyes and ears (cleaning eyeglasses, etc.), perform daily dental care, perineal care, as well as any other customary daily activities of living for residents.
Lift, turn, move, position, transfer and transport residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, vehicles, etc.; assist resident with walking with or without self-help devices.
Respond to resident calls promptly. Ensure call cords are within reach of residents. Ensure residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions; take to bathroom, offer bedpan/urinal, etc. Collect specimens as instructed.
Keep incontinent residents clean and dry. Check and report bowel movements and character of stools as instructed. Change clothing, linens, etc. when it becomes wet or soiled.
Change bed linens, make beds (occupied and unoccupied); keep linens tight to avoid wrinkles from forming under the resident; provide extra covers as requested.
Routinely checks on residents to ensure personal care needs are being met. Turn bedfast residents at least every two (2) hours.
Perform restorative, rehabilitative and special treatments procedures as instructed. Applies slings, ace bandages, and braces as instructed. Provide Range of Motion exercises.
Assist resident in preparing for activity and social programs, meals, appointments, medical tests, etc.
Prepare residents for meals and perform after meal care; take to bathroom, wash hands and face, transport to and from, brush teeth, clean dentures, etc.
Observe and record intake of food and fluids; report changes in eating habits.
Serve food trays, assist with feeding as indicated (cutting foods, feeding, orienting to food items and placement and temperatures). Keep water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water and within easy reach of the resident. Serve snacks.
Weigh and measure residents as instructed. Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations (TPRs), as instructed. Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes, such as the presence of pressure areas, bedsores, and skin tears.
Participate in and receive nursing reports at shift changes. Assist with carrying out the service plan document (AL) or care plan document (HC), through the point of care application.

Must successfully pass the criminal background check.
Must have personality attuned to the requirements of meeting the needs of the elderly.
Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
This requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally as well as in writing.
Must be familiar with different types of equipment, including Hoyer lift, tub lift, geri-chair, lap lock, wheel chairs, etc.

Essential Duties:
Quality Assurance
Audit and maintain current Service Plan for each client. Communicate all Service Plan information and changes to client and client representatives.
Complete weekly audit for new resident admissions and corresponding assessments.
Supervise care partners and professional nurses to ensure care standards are assigned appropriately and completed timely.
Notify and collaborate with adjacent departments to address residents' needs.
Determine and communicate changes in resident needs and obtain agreement from resident/resident representative for service plan revisions.
Clinical Process
Conduct regular 24- or 72-hour report, inclusive of caregiver report, and incident report review for identification of action.
Oversight of medication management, inclusive of medication reconciliation, medication reordering process.
Initiate and lead timely investigative measures for client concerns as necessary.
Assist with conducting daily and added Nurse Clinics for residents, TB testing for new hires, and emergency response to residents.
Leadership
Promote teamwork within the department and between other departments.
Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and annual skills proficiency checkoff to ensure all staff members meet yearly requirements.
Monitor FVD hospitality standards in observed staff service and care delivery. Report to supervisor if standards assigned do not meet expectations.
Assist with recruiting and hiring practices in collaboration with Scheduling Coordinator.
Orient newly hired clinical staff members, facilitate training and supervision; report concerns and progress to Director.
In coordination with the Director, assist in completion of annual performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner.
Other
Participate in on-call rotation.
Perform any other specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Keep the Director informed of staff and resident concerns, problems, accomplishments, morale, etc.
May be required to report for duty for the duration of an emergency or natural disaster to assist in emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio.
At least 2 years of nursing experience is required.
At least 1 year of prior supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Regular On site attendance required
