Frito-Lay benefits

Paid sick days/ time off requests easy to get approved. Partnered with plenty of company's to get discounts on all sorts of items through their discount program

Cons of working at Frito-Lay

Very poor management all around. Inefficient training "the blind leading the blind". Unrealistic goals and expectations. High turnover rate for my area. Switching out key management roles basically every few months with unqualified college students. Forced overtime

Pros of working at Frito-Lay

Benefits are decent. Compensation is fair. Incentives to achieve (unrealistic) goals.

Efficient and effective training for all employees. Promote people within the company with the skill base to properly manage instead of hiring a college student with a bachelor's degree in theater

How did you prepare for the Frito-Lay interview?

I did not prepare, just winged it. Seemed like it was more of a formality rather than a necessary step to land the job

How does your compensation at Frito-Lay compare to the industry average?

It's relatively competitive but it's just slightly above the competitors so it comes down to work environment and work-life balance which is lacking

They try to hard with this

What brings you the most joy at Frito-Lay?

When I leave to go home. I'm just here for the paycheck. Not much room left for advancement at my current level.

Pros of working at Frito-Lay

They pay you pretty decent

Cons of working at Frito-Lay

Not safe. No real management. Forced Overtime. No real union even though your paying for one. Overall they don’t care about their employees, I was physically hit by a car on my way to pick up my daughter from school and they gave me an occurrence/disciplinary point because i had to take off and go to carenow and couldn’t make it to work the next day.
