EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy internship program is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Completion of first year of a doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution. An equivalent first year completion in an accelerated doctor of pharmacy program at a degree granting institution will be accepted. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Must complete a competency checklist within three months of completing orientation and training sessions. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to communicate effectively with other health care professionals and patients. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to optimize patient care and minimize adverse outcomes. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration.
