Answering phone calls with patient inquiries

Must be commutable to all Aspire offices as needed, and participate in a minimum of a four office rotation
Qualifications of the Revenue Cycle Representative/Medical Receptionist:
Associate's degree, OR: 2 years' experience in a healthcare administration setting preferred
Strong computer skills; Must be able work with various computer programs effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to, Windows 10, Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook, and Google Chrome/Firefox.
CPT/ICD 10 coding
40 WPM; A typing test will be given
Influenza vaccination is mandatory
Proficient in spelling and grammar of English language
Reliable transportation is a must.
Attention to detail and ability to utilize skills interchangeably to all areas of medical practice
Knowledge of Medical Terminology/Anatomy preferred
Ability to interact in a highly professional manner with patients, co-workers, and supervisors

What You'll Do:
Schedule HBO Therapy or wound care visit, utilizing hospital software/systems as well as RXH's EMR system
Book appointments appropriately based on time, staffing, equipment and supplies
Confirm all registration information with the patient and or responsible party
Verify specific insurance benefits and obtain preauthorization for wound care procedures
Patient visit charge information to be provided by wound center personnel and provided to the respective billing/finance departments or entered directly into hospital charge entry systems in accordance with hospital policies and acceptable standards
Perform daily patient schedule: charge entry reconciliations and account for all outstanding superbills
Ensure patient satisfaction and provide professional patient and staff support

Front desk receptionist job in Norwood, MA
Duties Include:
Greeting patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
Check-in patients, collect co-pays, verify and update demographic and insurance information
Booking, coordinating and rescheduling patient appointments
Monitor daily appointment reminder reports and make changes to schedule
Conduct daily insurance eligibility check
Check-out patients, schedule return appointments
Maintain and update current information on daily physician's schedules
Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages and provide general information
Perform call center duties as assigned
Direct patients in filling out record requests and transfer forms
Monitor and maintain the orderliness of the waiting areas
Attend meetings as required
Perform related work as required
Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed in the reception area. Involves frequent telephone and personal contact with patients. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of business office procedures. Skill in operating a computer, photocopier and fax machine. Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
Education: Minimum High School graduation with one year of medical office experience.
