The Multimedia Developer (MD) provides professional services as an independent contractor within the Vice-presidency of Academic Development. The contractor is responsible for producing, editing, and integrating multimedia content-including audio, video, graphics, and AI-generated elements-for educational, instructional, and promotional use across institutional platforms.
This engagement requires technical expertise in multimedia production, proficiency in audiovisual tools, and familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies that enhance content creation and personalization. The contractor works in collaboration with the Multimedia Manager, Instructional Design Department, HTML Specialists, and other academic development personnel to deliver high-quality digital learning objects that support student engagement and learning outcomes.
Scope of Services and Responsibilities
The contractor shall provide professional services that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Multimedia Production and Editing
Record, edit, and integrate audio and video content for use in online courses, presentations, animations, and tutorials.
Produce and edit multimedia materials for instructional, marketing, and informational purposes.
Ensure consistency in design, branding, and audiovisual quality across all produced content.
Prepare content for publication on YouTube, learning management systems (LMS), and other media channels.
Participate in studio-based projects, including camera setup, lighting, audio, and teleprompter operation during recordings.
Artificial Intelligence and Digital Tools Integration
Apply AI technologies to optimize multimedia production processes, including automation, personalization, and content enhancement.
Generate multimedia elements using AI tools such as avatars, synthetic voices, automated animations, and intelligent video editing platforms.
Utilize AI-powered tools for automatic transcription, subtitling, translation, and improvement of audio and video quality.
Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI, maintaining compliance with copyright, accessibility, and privacy standards.
Collaboration and Project Management
Collaborate with instructional designers, editors, and HTML specialists to integrate multimedia assets into courses and digital learning materials.
Coordinate with the Multimedia Manager and team members to ensure high-quality output and timely delivery of requested services.
Support the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual equipment and studio facilities.
Communicate project status, requirements, and delivery timelines effectively to ensure efficient workflows.
Quality and Accessibility Assurance
Ensure all multimedia products comply with institutional standards for quality, accessibility, and copyright.
Optimize media formats for web and mobile viewing, ensuring efficient loading and playback.
Perform quality checks on sound, image, and video consistency prior to release.
Maintain archives of multimedia projects, ensuring proper documentation and metadata tagging.
Professional Practice
Use artificial intelligence (AI) and technological tools ethically and responsibly, following institutional policies and standards.
Maintain, at the contractor's own expense, all necessary equipment, software, and licenses required to perform the contracted services effectively.

Enhance AI-driven diagnostics, triage, pattern detection, and auto-approval pipelines for incident mitigation.
Improve observability, cross-pod dashboarding, and multi-pod coordinated incident support.
AI Initiatives for OASE DevOps
Develop and integrate AI-assisted diagnostics and automated mitigation for high-severity production incidents.
Contribute to Agentic DevOps initiatives, including autonomous remediation frameworks and prototype agent workflows.
Collaborate with ML teams to incorporate models for anomaly detection, root-cause analysis, and remediation recommendations.
AI assisted Automated Change Management
Build tooling and CI/CD pipeline extensions to eliminate manual change processes and streamline deployment safety.
Design guardrails, approval workflows, and automated rollouts to improve release reliability and reduce operational toil.
Agentic DevOps Platform (MCP Servers)
Develop MCP servers and agent orchestration workflows enabling end-to-end automated diagnostics and incident resolution.
Integrate agent-driven actions with existing automation systems (LARS, CI/CD, service health signals).
Contribute to next-generation self-healing and autonomous operations capabilities across OAC services.
**Responsibilities**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
+ Strong proficiency in Python and Java for automation and system development.
+ Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), preferably with Oracle Analytics Cloud or similar Oracle PaaS services.
+ Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
+ Experience with Git-based workflows, artifact repositories, and CI/CD tooling.
+ Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals.
+ Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, OCI Monitoring).
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a proactive mindset.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Oracle Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Professional).
+ Experience with secure DevOps (DevSecOps) practices.
+ Background in analytics platforms or data engineering is a plus.
+ Experience contributing to open-source or internal developer platforms.
+ Experience with integrating MCP servers and building RAG based Knowledge Base from semi-structured documents and logs.
