**Role & Responsibilities:**
+ Analyze UI issues, identify root causes and develop action plan
+ Do code reviews and manage meetings with offshore team on regular basis.
+ Estimate UI development efforts
+ Provide guidance to UI team in terms of UX/UI development approach
+ Collaborate with client teams and cognizant design/backend/frontenddevelopment teams on regular basis.

+ Serve as lead for all user experience and design projects and ongoing experience optimization efforts including creation of information architecture, wireframes, personas and user journeys for the direct-to-consumer experience.
+ Establish and communicate effective design processes through strong understanding of Design Thinking, user-centered design techniques and best practices.
+ Maintain ongoing design excellence by incorporating customer feedback into overall UX/UI design across the eCommerce platform and experience.
+ Drive in collaboration with 3rd party agencies an iterative approach to user interaction and experience in all stages of the website design and development lifecycle, including research, ideation, prototyping, UI design and testing.
+ Be able to diagnose and quickly fix conversion challenges in partnership with 3rd party agencies and development partner.
+ Provide technical guidance and advice to teams in case of any complex technical issues during project delivery
+ Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills are required Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
**Required Skills:**
+ Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience
+ Expertise in React.js, Next.js (including Hooks, Redux, Saga), Node.js, CMS component integration, API service consumption, SSR/CSR rendering, middleware, and logging.
+ Proficiency with Git, SourceTree, deployment processes, Postman for API testing, unit testing using JEST (including test scripts and code coverage), and responsive UI development using Bootstrap CSS framework (MDB library) with cross-browser compatibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports.
+ Excellent knowledge on eCommerce and different commercial offerings
+ Expertise on UI design, responsive development and frontend architecture knowledge
+ Knowledge on SEO - Google Tag manager, AB testing are optionally preferred.
+ Ability and experience to lead UI/UX development and mentor UI team members

The annual salary for this position is between $83,250 - $132,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

ISBE is looking for experienced talent to add to our Software Solutions team! This position will work collaboratively with program and software solutions staff to build sophisticated web applications and maintain those systems. This is an opportunity for an experienced web developer to design, develop and implement software solutions and bring innovation to an education data systems environment and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. This position functions under general supervision and reports to a supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Involved throughout the entire project lifecycle including concept and design, prototyping, development, production, quality assurance and testing, deployment and maintenance of sophisticated web based systems following best practices and development standards, guidelines and documentation.
* Develops web based computer applications to improve operations, increase efficiency and serve districts, educators and students.
* Assists in gathering requirements and project specifications and converts requirements into technical specifications for small to medium sized projects.
* Collaborates with business partners and strategic vendors to deliver cost effective, timely and customer-focused solutions.
* Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements, and contributes to the completion of functional specifications, preparing and delivering informative, well-organized presentations and project status reviews to process owners, customers and stakeholders.
* Maintains existing web-based production systems.
* Analyzes and resolves production problems in a timely manner.
* Resolves end user service requests as assigned.
* Maintains business systems standards by applying software development, project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science plus two years of IT experience or coursework in the last five years, or, a Bachelor's degree in any field plus three years of IT experience or coursework in the last five years, or, an Associate's degree in any field plus four years of IT experience or coursework in the last seven years, or, a high school diploma and eight years of experience in the last ten years. * Demonstrated experience with the following technical skills: VB.NET, C# or ASP.NET (at least two), and Microsoft SQL server.

In this strategic role, you will help architect, build, and enhance solutions to safeguard the reliability and availability of OCI's global cloud services.
