As a Dishwasher at Root Cellar Catering Co., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other utensils used in food and beverage service. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will directly contribute to the overall success of our catering events. Responsibilities: Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items. Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated storage areas. Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash bins, and wiping down surfaces. Follow proper sanitation procedures and health code regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace. Report any maintenance or repair issues with kitchen equipment to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the catering business. Requirements: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher to join our CONRAD'S Eat Drink Local team! This individual must enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Duties will include washing dishes and kitchen items thoroughly, putting them back appropriately, and making sure dish area is cleaned and organized. They may also assist the kitchen by restocking items, put away deliveries, prepare cook stations, clean appliances, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties as needed. To be successful, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills. You should prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures. Responsibilities Include: · Ensuring the availability of dishes, pots, pans, flatware, glassware, and any other item that needs to be washed and sanitized · Cleaning and prepping the dish area by cleaning and sanitizing for the next shift · Assisting in cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen · Sweeping and mopping floors, including in the event that items are broken or spilled · Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans · Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed · Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures Dishwasher Requirements: · Minimal work experience · Strong problem solving and communication skills · Exceptional time management skills · Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds · Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures Compensation: $15-16 per hour View all jobs at this company
