Formerly the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, Frontier
Nursing University offers distance education programs for nurses who wish
to become nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners. FNU's programs meet the
needs of students who do not want to leave their home communities to
obtain graduate education. Didactic coursework is completed online, while
the clinical practicum is completed using clinics, hospitals, and
preceptors in the student's own community. Frontier Nursing University currently offers the following degree
programs: * Post-Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice * Master of Science in Nursing * ADN-MSN Bridge Within the MSN program are three concentrations, including
Nurse-Midwifery, Family Nurse Practitioner and Women's Health Nurse
Practitioner. The ADN-MSN bridge is a convenient option for students with
an associate's degree in nursing who would like to earn a master's
degree. This 20-credit curriculum will allow you to continue to the MSN
program without first earning a bachelor's degree. A variety of financial aid opportunities are available at Frontier
Nursing University. Institutional scholarships, federal financial aid and
external scholarships are the primary options for tuition assistance. Admissions requirements at Frontier Nursing University vary by program.
For the MSN program, you must be a registered nurse with at least a year
of work experience. If your undergraduate GPA was at least 3.0, you do
