Manage a portfolio of 75+ prospects to raise funds for FNU institutional priorities. Contacts, Visit, Solicitation, Dollars Received and other metrics to be set annually.
Maintain and review the Officer's major gift prospect portfolio at regular meetings with the Senior Director of Philanthropy.
Coordinates and maintains positive relationships with all FNU employees to maximize donor relationships and philanthropic giving.
Solicit and close major gifts, securing financial support for FNU's key priorities, including scholarships, faculty development, capital campaigns, and general operating needs.
Engage with high-net-worth individuals, alumni, and community leaders to foster long-term relationships with FNU.
Frequent travel is required for face-to-face meetings to achieve a goal of 100+ meetings per year.
Work with supervisors, administrators, faculty, and staff to devise specific strategies and timetables for the successful solicitation of individuals, including the use of planned giving vehicles: gift annuities, trusts, and bequests to ensure the best use of time, budget, and personnel.
Develop and write proposals and correspondence to prospective donors.
Utilize Frontier's donor management CRM and screening mechanisms to research prospects in preparation for cultivation.
Maintain accurate and timely records/contact reports of all interaction with donors utilizing fundraising software.
Steward donors by providing information about the impact of their donations; happenings at the University in their areas of interest; and major changes within the University as a whole.
Inform departments while moving prospects through the major gift lifecycle.
Represent the Advancement Office at high-profile events including conference receptions for alumni and friends, events on campus, and networking events held locally, regionally, and nationally.
Actively participate in and work Advancement-related events as required.

A Resident Advisor, or RA, is an undergraduate full-time student who lives in an assigned MSU residence hall and supports students living in the residence hall community. As a live-in staff member, the primary role of an RA is to build a welcoming and inclusive community within the residence halls, while assisting residents in achieving their goals both personally and academically. In addition, the RA serves as a member of their residence hall's community team which includes the hall's Resident Advisors, and Area Coordinator, to create and maintain a positive community environment. The Resident Advisor position is a part-time institutional work-study position with an average weekly time commitment of 12-15 hours, which includes weekly staff meetings, bi-weekly meetings with the Resident Advisor's supervisor, on-call responsibilities, maintaining regular visibility in the Resident Advisor's assigned residential community and regular engagement with students in and around the Resident Advisor's assigned residential community. Since the RA position includes both structured time commitments and flexible time commitments, successful resident advisors demonstrate excellent time management and productivity skills. Attendance and participation for the entirety of pre-semester training, including residence hall opening, prior to the start of each semester and in-service sessions during the semester are required of all Resident Advisors. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaches an assortment of courses in agriculture business and marketing areas including, but not limited to: Agriculture Finance, Agriculture Marketing, Risk Management, Farm Records, and others as assigned. Activities, including recruitment, that serve the program, department, college, university and region are expected. Assists with financial analysis and review of the University Farm enterprises and conduct research with students. Aids in the development of courses and updating curriculum in the area. Helps students in research projects, serves on committees, advises undergraduate students, and meets other duties required of all faculty. Assumes recruitment activities that serve the program, department, college, university and region. Assists in financial and marketing reviews of the different agriculture enterprises at the Derrickson Agriculture Center. Work with others in the department and the Farm Manager to develop and grow additional markets that fit the educational and production goals of the program. Works with the Farm Manager to evaluate and assist with record keeping, marketing, and enterprise budgets for the Derrickson Agriculture Center and advise the Farm Manager and Department Chair of the results of these evaluations on an annual basis or more often if requested. Works with other faculty in the department to meet the needs of students in the program.
REQUIREMENTS: MS degree in Agriculture Business, Agriculture Marketing, or closely related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in teaching undergraduate classes is desired but not required.
