The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Scrap Cutter to work at our Canton location in Canton/Ohio. The Scrap Cutter performs all functions pertaining to ingot and all other scrap cutting as necessary. Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Scrap Cutter will: Operate a forklift, maghoe, and front-end loader Operate a burning station Operate torch to cut ingots Regulate natural gas and cutting oxygen Shovel material Drive a truck Maintain records related to production and hours worked Make basic repairs to equipment Comply with all safety requirements and environmental guidelines Other duties as directed by Manager Skills The ideal candidate will have: Experience operating a forklift, maghoe, and front-end loader Experience welding and cutting Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb and lift up to 50lbs Basic Mechanical aptitude Ability to work outside for extended periods of time Good verbal and written communication skills. Shift: 6:00 AM-6:15 PMHourly Rate: $21.64 an hour Safety is the #1 responsibility Follow all GMP's and USDA guidelines Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines Participate in the development, implementation and sustaining (CSD) of training documentation for all team members. Assist/support in other Cells as directed. Support CPS activities to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, CIL, Centerline, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc. Utilizing established techniques for combing, trolley movement, rod handling. Monitor and sustain the speed of cutting to support continuous equipment operation downstream.
