Mr. Jeffrey I. Friedman serves as Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Associated Estates Realty Corp. He has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since its organization in July 1993, and served as the Company’s President from the Company’s organization to February 2000 and again since December 2002. In 1974, Mr. Friedman joined the Company’s predecessor, Associated Estates Corporation, an owner and manager of multifamily residential apartment communities. Mr. Friedman earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University.

He recently served as executive chairman of Landmark Apartment Trust of America, Inc. He is the founder of Landmark Residential and has successfully completed $8 Billion of value-added multifamily transactions in the Southeast in the last 20 years. An expert in value added and distressed real estate repositioning, Joe has 25 years of experience in multifamily acquisitions, operations and disposition. On behalf of ELCO Holdings, ELRH 's largest investor, Joe is very familiar with the publicly traded world and reported quarterly to analysts covering ELCO and made numerous presentations before the members of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In his capacity as CEO, Joe was responsible for annual GAAP and IFRS audit presentation as well as standard institutional reporting.An honors graduate of Cornell University, he holds a Juris Doctor degree from Delaware Law School. He is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including AIPAC, Hillel, and The Cornell University Tower Club. Joe also serves as presidential Advisor of Temple Beth David in addition to civic and corporate Board assignments. An avid motorsports aficionado, Joe has competition licenses in several racing classes.

David Vecchitto is Chief Executive Office of Advenir Real Estate Management. As CEO, David is responsible for executing the business plan for the portfolio of properties, providing strategic direction to the management company, and developing our people and culture. David joined Advenir as Chief Financial Officer in April 2015 and values integrity, accuracy, and outstanding customer service. Prior to joining Advenir David has had financial leadership positions in public accounting, captive insurance, risk management, not-for-profit, and agri-business. He has extensive international experience, with a passion for providing strategic direction and implementing growth and improvement initiatives to strengthen financial and organizational performance. David volunteers his time working with national leaders to provide leadership and social development in the majority world. David has a Bachelor’s degree from Bentley University, a Master’s degree from Trinity International University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Connecticut.
