Fujikura Automotive America company history timeline
In 1990, the new Building was completed in Fukagawa, Tokyo, and integrated the Head Office.
The corporate name was changed from Fujikura Electric Wire Ltd. to Fujikura Ltd. on October 1st, 1992.
The Futtsu Plant was built in October 1992 as a new base for manufacturing and development of power cables to replace the Fukagawa Plant, and started operation on the same day as the corporate name change.
In 1999, Fujikura Rubber, Ltd. retooled and enhanced the quality management system approved by ISO9001, which allows us to assure not only quality, but also reliance and security.
The site of the previous Fukagawa Plant was redeveloped as a new urban area "Fukagawa Gatharia" in 2000.
2003 — Fujikura Rubber received ISO 14001 certification
2004 — Fujikura Rubber started the business operation domestically in the US for the Americas market
2009 — Fujikura Graphics, Inc., a subsidiary of Fujikura Rubber, was established in Schaumburg, Illinois
2010 — FIT (Fujikura Interlink Technology) series was launched
2011 Feb.Anji Fujikura Rubber Co., Ltd. was established in Anji Economic Development Country, Zhejiang Province, China 2011 Mar.The Great East Japan Earthquake has severely damaged plants in Haramachi and Odaka.
2011 Sep.The head office and sports equipment sales department are moved to Koto Ward, Tokyo.
2011 Jan.Engineering center opened in Iwatsuki Plant.
2012 Mar.Established Fujikura Composites Korea, Co.,Ltd. in Seoul, South Korea 2012 Apr.The Kazo plant was established in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture as an alternative to Odaka plant.
FUJIKURA GRAPHICS,INC. moves to New Jersey, United States 2016 Sep.Began sales of Emergency Magnesium Air Battery utilizing experience as a disaster-struck company.
2018 — Fujikura Graphics, Inc. unveils its newly branded website
2019 Apr.Change company name to : FUJIKURA COMPOSITES Inc.
4/28/2021 Funding from the grant will help aid the summer Youth Farm program by providing program supplies and support for an intern.
