About the Role

RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pulling
o Apply labeling, pull orders, and replenish inventory when required. Use computer as needed to check inventory records or order history
o Manually pull material for customer orders from stock and place orders on packing carts to convey orders to packing station for distribution. Multiple carts will be loaded for packaging each day.
o Read customer order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed
o Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, item type, style, color, or product code
o Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs
o Open bales, crates, and other containers to facilitate quick and easy pulling for orders to be packaged
• Packing
o Package and seal by hand a wide variety of agricultural and farm style products and materials in a warehouse environment using packaging processing equipment.
o Build boxes and load materials and products into packaging and read for shipment to customers
o Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms for processing and shipping
o Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packaging specifications are met
o Pull rolling shelf of ready orders to work station to package. Multiple rolling shelves will be used each day.
o Keep a clean work area by removing debris and damaged materials as needed
o Stop or rest machines when malfunction occurs, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor
o Maintain inventory of packaging materials for optimal daily work. Notify supervisor when materials need to be replenished
o May sort packages for shipment, according to destination or other classification, and place items in mailing bags or bins for delivery.
o Any and all other duties assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• 3-6 months of related experience a plus.
• Knowledge of farm implementation equipment, parts and supplies helpful.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to be a team player.
• Flexibility and punctuality a must
