Essential Job Functions Support, engage, and collaborate with clinical teams regarding appropriate clinical documentation, and drivers of high-quality patient care based on current national guidelines and recommendations related to measures of care. Collaborate with IS teams, clinical informaticists, clinicians and clinical departments to leverage the electronic medical record for data and report data to ensure timely and accurate reporting of information. Ensure compliance with requirements from CMS (e.g. Meaningful Use, Core Measures) and other payers and regulators with respect to reporting of clinical quality and other quality-related initiatives. Ensure the validity of data used to measure clinical performance. Communicate performance and technical definitions of national measures of quality and patient safety to key stakeholders to support reporting requirements and quality improvement initiatives.
