Shopkeeper Apprentices are full-time employees sharing the same responsibilities as the Shopkeeper including accounting, scheduling, inventory/ordering, and all HR functions (hiring, training, development, and performance management of all team members). This full-time position also involves working variable shifts, including opening shifts, closing shifts, and/or weekend shifts.
Shopkeeper Apprentices report directly into a Shopkeeper and can act as the second-in-command at a full shop or as first-in-command at a low volume/complexity location. Shopkeeper Apprentices undergo ongoing training and development from their Shopkeeper throughout their time in the position to best prepare them to support the shops in their market as well as for success in a future Shopkeeper position.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Learn how to inspect, test, service, and repair fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and general life safety products
Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, and general life safety products
Train on how to record and document inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations either electronically or manually
Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns
Spend time with our shop technicians learning how to recharge extinguishers and properly stock trucks
Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job
Evaluate customer site for additional equipment and services that customer may require
Work in compliance with the Company's safety program
Observe how to properly discuss deficiencies noted with customer, explaining the problem and its resolution
There may be situations which require work on nights, weekends, and/or holidays. For some locations, these demands will be more frequent or required than others.

Expect to greet customers with a smile, answer their questions, and leave them feeling delighted. Safety is key, so you'll rock that protective gear and follow all the rules. You'll also document your work using Service Titan software, keeping the team in the loop. By day's end, you'll have new skills under your belt and a sense of accomplishment from a job well done.
YOUR SCHEDULE
As an entry-level Apprentice Plumbing and Excavation Tech, you'll start your day with the team at our shop/office between 7 AM and 8:15 AM for some training and morning pow-wows. Your workday goes until the last job is done-usually around 5 PM, but sometimes a bit later because we love keeping our customers happy. On-call shifts are part of the gig, giving you the chance to earn extra with time and a half.

Great hours, no late night shifts!! Otterbein has immediate openings for Dining Services Assistants. We are currently offering both full time and part time opportunities, with flexible scheduling options, both day and evening shifts. This role has the important responsibility of providing our residents with meals that are well prepared, attractive and served in a timely manner. We offer restaurant-style dining for our residents in a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. If you have the desire to serve older persons in a faith-based environment, this is the place for you.

Job Type: Part-Time
Responsibilities
Serve meals for all resident's diet orders
Measure and portion foods accurately
Clean and maintain the kitchen facility in a safe and sanitary manner
Perform dish washing of pots, pans and other designated items
Check in and put away stock/supply orders
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience: Applicants should have at least 3 months' experience in food service. Must have the ability to avoid food waste, meet meal schedules and serving times.
