Brian is a digital transformation leader & senior executive with almost 30 years of experience in the communications industry, developing/managing organizations from inception through growth to operational stability, profitability & eventual sale. He successfully transformed a legacy commodity-based company to a value-added digital cloud solution provider. His expertise in managing all aspects of an organization, M&A activities, including fund raising/integrations & operationalizing processes informs all his work.Brian serves as Chief Executive Officer for Fusion Connect. Prior to Fusion Connect, Brian served as Chief Commercial Officer for Sungard Availability Services (Sungard AS). His focus included leading Sungard AS’ global sales and marketing organization and partnering closely across Sungard AS’ functional teams to drive customer retention and growth, all while continuing to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Prior to Sungard AS, Brian was with Windstream, joining when the firm acquired Broadview Networks. Serving as President of Mid-Market Enterprise & Commercial Markets, he had full P&L responsibility for $1.3B. As President, Customer Experience & Advocacy, Cloud & Connectivity BU, Brian led $3B+ in annual revenue retention through account mgt & migration from legacy commodity services to strategic products. Before, Brian served as COO at Broadview Networks, leading strategy/transformation of the tradt’l business to a top-10 national cloud-solution provider. Overseeing all revenue generation & P&L layers, capital investments/cash flows & most operating divisions, Brian expanded the firm’s reach to a nationwide service offering, led growth from a start up to a $300M business & increased EBIDTA as a percentage by 50%. Managing M&A activities, he raised $300M+ of debt capital in public bond offerings & played a critical role in creating/launching Broadview’s UCaaS platform that resulted in 50% increase in gross margin & 2x EBITDA increase.He earned a BBA from St. Norbert College and has a Six Sigma Green Belt from Villanova University.
