What will I do as a Building Services Manager?
Oversee the operation of the facility's heating, air conditioning, automation and plant equipment. Responsible for energy efficient operation of building systems to provide a comfortable environment.

Ensure that the plant equipment and facility is ready for and passes scheduled inspections on time for continued operation. Develop and follows up on any plans of correction.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state/local standards, and regulations including COMAR, ADA, OSHA, CMS, Life Safety Code and NFPA. Provide support during emergency disaster situations. Maintain a safe, neat, and productive work environment in all equipment and shop areas. Maintain tools in good working condition and ensure the safety of the work area for staff, residents and visitors.
Track overtime; keep staffing costs within budget. Schedule employees to meet the needs of the facility and approves leave requests.
Monitor staff work performance levels to ensure peak efficiency and provide feedback to improve performance. Review and prioritize work orders, assist staff to ensure proper work order completion and training, Identify and instruct staff on correcting work problems. Complete staff annual evaluations. Provide counseling or discipline as necessary to ensure the highest level of performance and customer service.

What is required in this position?

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapeutic services that help patients regain independence in daily living activities. The COTA will provide hands-on support for patients across various care settings and promote functional improvement and quality of life.
Job Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist and adjust activities as directed.
Lead patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to support their recovery goals.
Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to the supervising OT.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment use, safety, and self-care strategies.
Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Ensure safe and clean therapy environments and prepare materials needed for sessions.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
Minimum 1 year of COTA experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to follow clinical direction and adapt therapy to individual patient needs.

Responsibilities
Transport residents to and from therapy timely minimizing the resident/patient waiting time
Assist residents in preparation for treatment based on needs of the resident/patient and the specific modality and treatment
Assist licensed therapists (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist) with resident evaluations, as instructed
Remove and/or apply assistive devices and supportive devices as directed by licensed therapists (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, COTA or Speech Pathologist)
Assist with the restorative programs in the facility as directed by the Rehab Director in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
Works with Rehab Director to arrange daily treatment schedule for patients and therapists that promotes an effective and efficient functioning for both the patients and the therapy department
Maintains department records, as directed
Assure there is an adequate supply of forms in the units, including forms for patient documentation and for therapists' administrative functions
Assure there are sufficient supplies for all modalities in providing of daily treatments
Maintain inventories and orders equipment, as required.
Attend meetings and in-service sessions, as directed to assure safe performance of the duties assigned to this position
Adhere to facility policies and procedures and participates in quality improvement and safety programs
Performs other duties as assigned
Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare's Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan
Qualifications
Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Current certification and GNA license in the state of Maryland
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and move patients
knowledge of basic medical terminology and therapy equipment
Prior experience in a health care or rehab setting is preferred
Ability to understand and follow the directions of licensed professionals
