Must have at least 1 year experience woring in a healthcare setting
GNA certificaiton needed
Must have a current CPR/BLS certification
Must be comfortable working with the geriatric population
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team centered environment
Ability to lift 50lbs or more
Must be able to work as scheduled

About the Role:
The Transportation Aide plays a vital role in supporting healthcare and social assistance operations by ensuring the safe and timely transport of patients, staff, and essential materials. This position requires a dependable individual who can follow detailed instructions and maintain consistent attendance to meet the dynamic scheduling needs of the healthcare environment. The aide will contribute to patient comfort and safety during transit, demonstrating genuine care and respect for confidentiality at all times. Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Medical Appointments and Outings: Assists in onboarding, securing, and offboarding residents for safe transport to various locations. May participate in resident assistance during outings; examples include but are not limited to: transferring residents from one surface to another, toileting, hygiene, and eating, assisting with shopping tasks such as reaching items on high shelves for a wheelchair resident, and/or assisting with moving a food order from counter to table, etc. To the extent possible, requests time off with adequate time to enable alternate transportation arrangements for residents.
Documentation: Ensures provision and receipt of documentation relating to medical visits. Ensures protection of residents' personal health information and confidentiality.
Recreation/Resident Assistance: During times when not involved in transportation activities, works with recreation to support resident activities such as escorting residents to and from activities and programs and/or assisting residents with participation in activities.
On-Site Clinic/Transportation Support: May be asked to support transportation to/from on-site clinics, dialysis den, salon, etc. when not on an outside appointment.
Performs other duties as assigned: including but not limited to; possible floor assignment, assisting with evacuations and emergencies.

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a paid nursing assistant training and competency evaluation program to prepare for the Nursing Assistant exam. The class runs approximately 4-6 weeks. At the conclusion of the class, you will be required to pass the Nursing Assistant and Geriatric Nursing Assistant exams within 120 days in order to be considered for continued employment. The certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant provides the activities of daily living care to the residents under licensed staff supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
2. Complies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices.
3. Assists in or provides for the maintenance of individual personal hygiene, i.e., bathing, shaving, changing clothing, nail care, toilet needs, etc.
4. Provides clean, dry linen and makes beds to meet resident needs.
5. Encourages proper resident nutrition by serving food promptly and assists with feeding when necessary.
6. Performs resident treatments as assigned by the Team Leader and within the nursing scope of practice.
7. Records resident information concisely, accurately, and completely, and reports to the Team Leader objective observations of change in resident condition or need.
8. Actively participates in resident care planning.
9. Promotes activities of daily living according to the resident's care plan.
10. Resident lifts and transfers will be done according to the resident's care plan and the LiftFree Program.

Responsibilities
What you will do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
* Respond timely to residents call lights and offer support as needed
* Assist residents with care including bathing, grooming, hygiene
* Perform restorative procedures as instructed
* Clean oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, IV poles and wheelchairs
* Assist with transferring resident to and from beds, chairs and wheelchairs
* Assist with moving resident personal items during room changes
* Make resident beds and handle linen according to infection control guidelines
* Set up trays for residents who feed themselves
* Fill water pitchers and hand out trays during mealtime
* Practice infection control and standard precaution techniques as consistent with FutureCare's policies and procedures
* Perform a variety of other duties while being trained and as assigned

Qualifications
What you need to qualify for this great opportunity
* Ability to pass a reading and arithmetic assessment during pre-employment screenings
* Ability to complete an 8-week training course
* Must be familiar with and have basic knowledge using computers
* Ability to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable
* Must be able to train on site Monday-Thursday 9am-3:30pm as scheduled
* Ability to interact with nursing staff, residents, and family members in a professional, courteous, and tactful manner
* Must have a kind, patient, and empathetic personality
* Must have a strong work ethic and the ability work in a team-oriented environment
* Ability to follow directions and complete all assigned tasks
* Ability to lift 50lbs and stand on your feet for at least 8 hours/day

Job Summary:
Provides the activities of daily living care to the residents under licensed staff supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
* Complies with established policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.
* Assists in or provides for the maintenance of individual personal hygiene, i.e., bathing, shaving, changing clothing, nail care, toilet needs.
* Provides clean, dry linen and make beds to meet resident needs.
* Encourages proper resident nutrition by serving food promptly and assists with feeding when necessary.
* Performs resident treatments as assigned by the Team Leader and within the nursing scope of practice.
* Records resident information concisely, accurately, and completely, and reports to the team Leader objective observations of change in resident condition or need.
* Actively participates in resident care planning.
* Promotes the activity of daily living according to the resident's care plan.
* Resident lifts and transfers will be done according to the resident's care plan and the Lift Free Program.
* Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
* Ability to lift and transfer 30 pounds of resident weight frequently (30 times) throughout the shift.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout an eight (8) hour shift.
* Organizational skills and ability to do sequential events.
* Listed on the state registry as a Nursing Assistant within 120 days of employment.
* Motivation and desire to work with geriatric persons.
* Ability to speak English at a level residents can understand.
* Ability to read and write in English to carry out functions related to the care plans and provide appropriate resident care.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to constantly work on their feet during an 8 hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout the shift in performing regular duties. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of resident weight and/or transfer and reposition a resident at least 25 times throughout the shift. Must be able to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and in response to the unexpected behavior of residents either during lifting or repositioning or during other frequent occasions when having direct contact with residents. Must be able to handle the physical transfer of residents from unsafe to safer locations in the event of a fire or other disaster. Ability to do sequential events/tasks.
