The Assembler I position is responsible for building various sub components that will later be incorporated into a larger product by our customer. This position prints and uses standard work orders. The Assembler I will be required on a daily basis to use hand held and air powered tools. Additionally this person will move material throughout the station with the use of a lift and overhead crane as well as a sit down forklift. This position will be on their feet for most of the day. The Assembler I is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area.

Prep includes taping off and covering as well as removal of any parts (with the use of hand held and pneumatic tools) sanding and washing material prior to entry into the paint booth. Daily tasks also include movement of material through the warehouse with the use of a sit-down forklift. Material to be moved ranges from 2lbs to 1000lbs. This position will be required to hang/rig material through the use of an overhead crane and hoist. An understanding of proper lifting techniques and hoist usage will be required. This position will require some post-painting light sanding and touch up work. Entry of material into the computer for shipment tracking and transfers along with email will require some basic computer knowledge. The Paint Prep Tech will maintain a safe and clean work area by ensuring they clean their area as needed.
