G&W Products company history timeline
Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, CNC punching, metal fabrication, manual and robotic welding, structural steel working, sheet metal fabrication, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly.
In the 1970’s, G&W was among the first to innovate by offering complete machined products as opposed to raw metal castings.
Introduced a complete line of SF6 switchgear, including the first fully submersible electrical SF6 switchgear in 1974.
Burton’s son, Ronald, joined the company in 1978 and served as Chief Executive Officer.
GW Instruments was founded in 1984 by Glenn Weinreb, who foresaw the revolutionary changes brought to laboratory computing by the personal computer.
In January 1987 the company was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In October 1987, the Company published a data acquisition product catalog and a brochure on sound analysis products.
GW Richardson Heating & Air Conditioning Inc opened its doors in 1987 to serve the needs of Southern California communities by installing and repairing heating and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial customers.
In 1988, the company successfully raised its first outside equity through the sale of securities to a venture capital firm.
By late 1988, the product family had expanded significantly warranting a 56 page catalog.

Following in Ronald’s footsteps, his son, Aaron, joined the company in 2009 after earning his Pharm.D and has since assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer.
