Family Support Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
The Center-Based Family Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive support to families. Family Support Specialists develop a relationship with parents and/or guardians that begins during the in-take process. Family Support Specialist engages parents in setting and achieving goals by connecting them to internal and external resources. In addition, this position is responsible for helping meet milestones established by the grantee in the areas of health, disabilities, mental health, nutrition, family and community partnerships. Family Support Specialists play a key role in empowering parents as advocates for their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducts assigned health and family partnership components of enrollment, including the accurate entry of data into Earlybird and CSD Cares.
2. Participates in recruitment and outreach process.
3. Refers families to appropriate community partners according to demonstrated needs. Documents all referral progress towards family and children's goals, referrals, and services in the Earlybird and CSD Cares System and conducts follow-up in a timely manner.
4. Assists parents to access consistent health care and establish a medical home for their children. Maintains and monitors all assigned health files and Earlybird and CSD Cares health records in collaboration with supervisor and compliance manager.
5. Maintains and documents updated and consistent family partnership agreements, family needs assessments, and referrals. Maintains case notes of all contact with families utilizing the Earlybird and CSD Cares system.
6. Monitors all health, mental health, disabilities, nutrition, transitions, and family engagement data components and follows-up with families regarding missing documentation on a regular basis. Makes phone calls, home visits, and utilizes all necessary means to contact families, obtaining missing items and documenting all efforts in Earlybird and CSD Cares.
7. Assists with planning monthly parent meetings in collaboration with site manager.
8. Participates and assists with the Head Start/Early Head Start referrals to Chicago Public Schools, Mental Health Services or Early Intervention in collaboration with the Infant Toddler Specialist or Education Coordinator/Manager.
9. Identifies potential community agencies, health and dental clinics, and other resources for partnerships and shares information with site manager.
10. Maintains community resource guide to assist parents in identifying and accessing local community resources. All resources must be updated on an annual basis before the new program year.
11. Participates with site manager and family engagement specialist with parent involvement activities through recruitment and organization of events and services.
12. Collaborates with teacher and site manager to gather all necessary documentation for referral packets and assists with submittal to the Education/Disabilities Manager for children 3-5 or the Infant Toddler Specialist for children 0-3.
13. Works with Education/Disabilities manager or Infant Toddler Specialist and parents to ensure that meetings and evaluations occur for children that are eligible to receive services.
14. Attends all professional development meetings and trainings related to the responsibilities stated above recommended by the supervisor.
15. Ensures that supervisor and supporting staff are notified when you leave the building at any time during your shift.
16. Implements the parent and family engagement curriculum, Parent as Teachers.
17. Engages families during in-take and enrollment process and foster positive relationships with families throughout their time at Gads Hill Center.
18. Assist with recruitment of families under the guidance of the site manager, all transition and male engagement activities.
19. Documents chronic absenteeism in the Earlybird and CSD Cares system. Follows up with parents and provides parents with adequate resources in efforts to resolve.
20. Immediately notifies site manager when there is a parent grievance.
21. Participates in monthly triadic supervision with compliance manager and site manager.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, all Gads Hill Center employees are responsible for the following:
1. Participating in agency outreach and recruitment events, including evenings and weekends.
2. Participating in supervision meetings and workshops within the agency and outside (if applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field.
2. Illinois Gateways Family Specialist Credential level 5 Required.
3. A minimum of two years' experience working with children and families.
4. Experience with multi-cultural programming preferred.
5. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred, but not required.
6. Valid Driver's License and use of a dependable insured car.
7. Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.
8. Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Teacher Assistant at Gads Hill Center-Based Early Childhood program is responsible for assisting the Teacher in delivering comprehensive early childhood education services to children in a safe, nurturing environment. In this position, assistant teachers are expected to collaborate effectively with the classroom teaching team to provide a seamless educational experience for children. This position is responsible for planning and implementing structured educational activities based on the Creative Curriculum. At all times, teachers must ensure adherence to DCFS licensing standards and funder requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with teaching team to provide a classroom environment that is reflective of diverse races, cultures, and languages; adapts teaching in response to childrens differences.
Prepares attendance records, lesson plans, meal preparation sheets, child development files, anecdotal and developmental observations of each child, maintaining confidentiality of family records and information.
Documents child growth and development milestones using written observations, photography, and assessment tools.
Utilizes developmental screening tools to determine individual needs of children and assists in individualizing the curriculum.
Possesses knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold as an assessment tool.
Assists and attends weekly team meetings to discuss lesson planning, reporting requirements, Daily Health checks and the individual needs of children.
Attends and engages in professional development opportunities, such as staff meetings, in-service trainings, and conferences. Participates in at-least 40 hours of professional development annually.
Plans developmentally appropriate activities for small/large groups that address the needs identified in assessments with Lead Teacher. Activities must promote multiculturalism and aid in the development of critical-thinking skills.
Assists Lead Teacher in planning field trips and other enrichment activities.
Develops and builds positive relationships with parents/guardians by greeting them and communicating with them, as well as providing experiences that enhance their roles as their childs primary influence in growth and development.

The Investment Office is a small team where everyone is a key contributor. Loyola University Chicago's Advancement division is seeking a detail-oriented team member committed to the highest quality of data maintenance, management, and standards to join its team. In partnership with the Associate Director of Data Integrity: Data and Production and other members of the Advancement Operations and Campaign Planning team, the Data and Production Analyst will assist in maintaining the integrity and acquisition of constituent (alumni, donor, prospect, friend, organization, employee) data in Loyola's donor database. This includes acquiring, updating, and maintaining constituent's biographical, contact, and engagement information, ensuring proper use of data, maintaining continuous data integrity improvements, and producing donation receipts. This position is hybrid, with an expected regular presence in Loyola's Water Tower campus.
As part of a collaborative Data Integrity team and under the direction of the Associate Director, Data Integrity, the Data and Production Analyst will ensure that all biodemographic data are of the highest quality. This includes, but is not limited to:
Data Management:
* Monitor and accurately fulfill data update requests through various sources (shared Outlook email inbox, Smartsheet task request system, etc.) while adhering to established data entry procedures and timelines and maintaining consistency in records throughout the database.
* Verifies and analyzes data to ensure accuracy and resolve inconsistencies and discrepancies in data.
* Review mail returned by the USPS - inactivating incorrect addresses and performing research to identify new/correct address information, updating mail and solicit codes, resending gift receipts, etc.
* Assist with overseeing the maintenance of all records in the database, including (but not limited to):
* Creating new records.
* Updating and maintaining biographical information (e.g., name, age, contact information, etc.).
* Updating and maintaining employment and employee-related information (e.g., matching gift relationships, business addresses, positions, and titles).
* Updating and maintaining personal relationship information (e.g., marital status and parent-child relationships).
* Researching unverified obituary notifications and updating entity records with verified information.
* Proactively acquiring, updating, and maintaining constituents' engagement information (e.g., event attendance, participation in volunteer activities, membership on a Loyola advisory board, etc.).

* Monitor and fulfill re-receipt requests through the Smartsheet task request system.
* Organize and maintain the folder systems with past receipts.

Gift Processing:
Aid with gift processing procedures as a collaborative member of the Data Integrity team.
* Aid Gift Processing Analysts with in-office procedures, including check and credit card processing, ensuring that gifts are deposited to the bank and reconciled following University policies and procedures.

The Director also provides leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective linkages between ORR and the needs of other Stritch functional areas, including Admissions & Recruitment, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, Educational Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, as well as University offices, such as the University's office of Registration & Records and the Graduate School. RECORDS MANAGEMENT
* Maintain accurate Academic Records for Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) Students ensuring data confidentiality and integrity in accordance with institutional policies, federal and state educational laws and Accreditation requirements (e.g. Department of Education/Title IV, FERPA, Clearinghouse, Solomon Amendment, etc.).
* Respond to legal inquiries and subpoenas of Academic Records for current and former Students.
* Provide direction and oversight of key processes, such as transcript evaluations, student certifications, attendance record keeping, visiting student records, grade processing and progression, and student orientations.
* Management of document retention and storage including the preservation of archival records.
* Audit progress of Stritch medical Students toward fulfilling requirements for Doctor of Medicine Degree and verify eligibility for M.D. Degree.
* Oversee development and maintenance of publications, website pages, and the Student Directory.
REGISTRATION AND DATA MANAGEMENT
* Collect, analyze, and disseminate data/reports and responses to administration and other internal and external constituents, e.g., annual enrollment and retention reports, student demographics, AAMC Student Records System, IBHE grant report, LCME database.
* Manage registration and enrollment activities, including MD/PhD program and Hines VA badging process for new and returning Students.

CREDENTIALING SERVICES

Assists Compliance team with data integrity and maintains integrity controls.
Assists in preparing data requests and reports.
