As the Environmental Advisor you are an essential part of our environmental team. You will lead and support significant aspects of the site Environmental Management System, and you will be involved in internal and external audits, resource consent management, as well as initiating improvement work.
* Reporting to the Environmental Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
* Lead key aspects of the site's Environmental Management system in accordance with ISO14001, such as carrying out departmental risk reviews, closeout of audit actions and investigations of non-conformances
* Ensure compliance with resource consents, evaluate compliance monitoring data and prepare monthly and annual compliance reports
* Review and update environmental management plans, and contribute to the review and improvement of departmental operational procedures to manage environmental risks
* Undertake investigations into environmental incidents and ensure learnings are captured and shared

Ideally holding a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Environmental Management, your strong technical skills, conceptual mindset, and ability to analyse data will help you succeed and gain credibility when dealing with stakeholders.
