We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Mailroom Machine Operator. As a crucial member of our organization, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of our fast-paced mailroom. This role manages daily mailroom operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of outbound mail while maintaining compliance with USPS regulations. What does a MAILROOM MACHINE OPERATOR do at GAINSCO? Operate and monitor mail insertion machines; troubleshot and clear jams as needed. Prepare outbound mail by printing, folding, inserting, sealing, and applying postage. Ensure all mail meets USPS standards and completes required documentation. Collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail; manage outgoing mail and weigh packages for postage. Handle sensitive materials and maintain workflow efficiency. Lift, load, and unload containers of mail or parcels. Manage deliveries from FedEx, USPS, and UPS. Maintain inventory of forms, envelopes, and paper. Assist with ad hoc mailings, overnight packages, and certified mail. Interpret postal statements and work with outbound mail vendors. What is required? Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience: 1+ year of general office experience. 1+ year operating mailroom equipment and working in mailroom operations. Knowledge of USPS rules and regulations required. Knowledge of print and mail production processes is required. Strong organization and time management skills required. Experience with Pitney Bowes mailing equipment strongly preferred. Strongly preferred familiarity with mailroom inserting equipment: Pitney Bowes Rival, Tabletop Inserter, and Connect Plus Meter machine. Other skills and abilities: May be required to lift, push, or pull material up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand and walk throughout the whole workday.
